I sent a guy money for a cue but he never asked for my address. I'm not very familiar with paypal, so is he able to access my address from paypal directly? I've sent him a few messages but he hasn't responded. Thanks

Hmm sounds fishy already but don't jump to conclusions just yet....some people are honest....

Yes, paypal provides your shipping address to the seller, if you didn't 'gift' the money, and just sent it the regular way. In fact, the seller has to ship to the confirmed address that's on file with paypal so he is covered under their seller protections.

Hmm most the time the guys on here would say something. Like ur cue is shipped or something along those lines

Wouldn't be out of line for you to send the address to seller and ask she he expects to ship it.

Yeah. It's not that I think i'm getting taken or anything. It's just weird hes not responding

It is like one other member said here, as long as you did not send the money as a gift you should be fine if your address is confirmed with paypal. The seller will be able to see your confirmed shipping address and will automatically know where to ship the cue.
As for no communication from the seller that is strange.
One thing you should note: If you sent this as a gift you have no recourse through paypal. This is why I never deal with anyone asking me to pay the fee's and send money as a gift! If they do not want to eat the 3% they can charge the extra 3% into the deal and the buyer can then have the buyer protection. Asking a buyer to just trust them to do the right thing is rude. I could never ask someone whom I have never met to just trust me. Yeah I do this everyday and I know you have doubts about buying something you have never had in your hands from someone you have never met, but trust me you will love it, and oh by the way...Can you just send that money as a gift, I really do not want to pay that 3%.
Sorry to high jack your thread with my rant but you should be okay as long as you sent the money as a purchase and not a gift. If you sent it as a gift and used your credit card to make the paypal purchase you would then have to fall back and file a claim with your credit card company if paypal refuses to do anything about it. Just remember this>>> paypal will allow a claim within 45 days. If I am not mistaken most credit card companies need to be notified within 30 days if you are going to file a claim. Then again you may hear from the seller today and everything be just peachy.

no need to get concerned if much time hasn't passed since you paid and since he has good iTrader.

you can click his iTrader number that is just to the left of the 100% and on the screes that comes up you can look on the right side and see when was his last activity on az.

if he has been on after tou pm's him, you should be getting a response.

and yes, paypal does provide him with your shipping address.

best,
brian kc.

If you sent the PayPal as payment for "goods" your address will show to the seller.

If you sent as "goods" and funded your payment through your credit card, you have nothing to worry about.

If you sent as "goods" but funded some other way and the seller never sends you the cue, you will have basis for a dispute through PayPal which you will generally win.

If you sent the payment as a gift funded through a credit card, you MIGHT have a way to go if he doesn't send you the cue.

If you sent the money as a gift and funded in some other way, you best hope your seller is honorable because I think you have paid in a way where you have managed to get zero protection.
