“Assuming any reasonable tip curvature”, the edge of your tip cannot touch the ball before passing the miscue limit - if it does your tip is too flat, prone to miscue and can’t produce maximum spin. Tips of any size need at least 60 degrees of arc to prevent that.

It’s the curvature, not the size (seems like I’ve heard that before).

P.S. Your tip must be just about completely flat for its edge to contact the center of the cue ball as in your pic. Only good for center ball hits.
If you used a smaller tip you might realize there’s no difference except less squirt and greater visibility.
