Pyramid Cities?

I was watching Earl and Corey play Russian pyramids this morning and it got me to thinking is there any city in North America where this game is present? Are there any tables in the Houston Texas area? Is the Finnish variation of pyramids played anywhere?
No tables in Houston to my knowledge. Kaisa is the name of the Finnish variation.

Correct me if I'm wrong please but RP tables are modified Snooker tables right?

Looks like pool table rails, not snooker rails. And they cut the pockets super tight.
Russian Pyramid tables have often same base structure than Snooker tables but not always. Some tables are just made for it. We had one table that had both rails. Rails are like pool rails but little different profile because heavy balls. They act like carom or pool rails. Our Kaisa tables have 68mm ball size and pocket is 70mm. Russian pyramid tables have normally 72mm. Heavier old style pyramid balls are 69mm but Aramiths 68mm.
Cloth used on Pyramid or Kaisa is either Simonis 760 or 950 Rus Pro, Which is identical with 760 but different knots and cut thinner and pressed. Better than 760 IMHO.
Pocket profile is same as pool tables.

Do you play this game often? If so do you have a RP cue? how much does it weigh?

Finnish Variation is called Kaisa Billiards and pockets are slightly tighter than Russian Pyramid tables but table size is only 11ft.
played to 60 points. ( I make 70p run on that video from opening layout.. If one makes 60p from opening in official tournament play he get 500€ bonus)
Yellow 6p. Red Balls 3p and opponent white 2p.
You can get bonus points if you take a carom to another ball while pocket object ball.
Tighter???????????? YIKES!!!!!

I don´t play often. Russian version very rare. Finnish Kaisa just local tournaments and Finnish Champs sometimes. I had nice stiff Kaisa cue that was almost 800 gram(28 oz). One drunk guy broke it and I have not played Kaisa at all about a year.
Except 2 ranking tournaments first weekend of this year. I won other and was 5th on second.
I am gonna practice it now though.. I got invitation to 10k Kaisa Open tournament this month last weekend. I just need to find some decent cue to borrow.

Good luck and I hope you win it!

the pockets are smaller than the balls

I am talking solely about tables open to public. There may be one or two in houses, who knows.
I am pretty sure that Ultimate Billiards in Fort Pierce, Florida had a Russian table when they opened. I don`t know if it is still there.

Not in America, but I've only found two pyramid tables in Shanghai. One in a nice restaurant, and one in someone's house. I wish there was more around to be honest, It is pretty fun to play and makes you think. It's an interesting game to play.

I often play 'Russian pool' here on a 9foot diamond. (I saw some Americans refer to it as such here on AzB forum, but actually nicknamed Philippine pool here by the Chinese and Filipino friends I play it with). Playing standard 8-ball, but the object ball is caromed off the white to be pocketed. So, has some semblance of pyramid, but not really the same thing.
Called Kiss Pool here. It's a lot of fun for the bangers on a small table. We used to break with the cue ball and then just played regular 8 ball from there - backwards of course.
