Q claw

i have a q claw tt holds 2 cues.. there's a piece of metal as weight, encased in rubber.. so u basically place it by the edge of the table, and lean ur cues on it.. what exactly do u want to know about q claw?

i bought one that holds 5 cues..i like it alot..i use it in my own pool room..don't buy another make with clips.unless you have cheap cues.

i just wanted to know does it hold your cues with out doing damage like just leaning the against a wall would

yes it holds your cues..damage>that's why i mentioned NOT to buy the make with clips..mine is solid rubber that the cue rests in ..if i seen a pic in a catalog But i can't remember the brand it is but i believe Qclaw.it will last a life time and then some....well worth the investment.:)

I just bought one the other day and i like it , just have to remember to pick it up off the table when im done

Personally I don't care for the concept.
There are only 4 places my cue will be
1. in its case
2. in my hands
3. flat on the pool table
4. in the hands of some one I trust

The last thing I want is for some drunk to stumble into it and end up with a 3 piece cue!
I never ever lean my cue against anything
This is just my opinion based on what I've learned from the mistakes of others.

Wombat i just checked mine is the Qclaw ..but like SDE posted be careful.:)

Wombat, wow, based on all your posts, you got a lot of pool equipment for a fairly new player. I will suggest saving that money for a good tutor.

Just my thought because you might end up the guy with the best equipment but the worst player in the league. I think that will be too embarassing.

Well, unless you are going for the intimidation factor. :)

Good for you. DOn't get too caught up with the equipment hoopla. I heard a guy winning a tournament using a $20 cue.

that reminds me i still have my first cue its a halex its worth like $20 from kmart and a cheap $10 vnyl case:p :p :p

I play in a room with some of the pool tables out in the middle of the room with nowhere to lean my cues unless I drape my case across the edge of a drink table and lean my cues against the crotch created between the case and the table. My cues still got slight dings from leaning them into the table.

I bought a Q claw back in November and liked it so much, I bought all my friends one as Christmas presents.

I put my name on the under side of it. I've walked off and left it a few times but got it back.

The first thing I do now is put it in my case before I break my sticks down.

has anyone tried this...how did it work/does it work...i did a search and didnt get what i was looking for
The only problem I see with the claw is that if you buy one that will holds more then you have cues. You have to kick off your friends cue when you move to another table (tournements) or when you leave the pool hall.. :D

I have one that holds 3, but on league night it generally has 2 more leaned against the outer egde of it.
I really like it. It's compact, easy to use, stable, and can be used on almost any table surface. It was a great buy for around $15 or whatever I paid for it.

I bought the two cue model and wish that I would have bought 2 singles instead. A problem other than above is the cues are too close together and you have to be careful not to bang the other cue. This is more important when someone else decides to also use it. If you had 2 singles you could put them further apart and not have to worring about someone banging their cue into yours.

I have not found anything better but there is always the problem of someone knocking them over no matter where you put your cue. The only other would be to have a case where you can put you cue into it butt first and use the case as a holder. An old timer told me the best place to to store your cue and case is under the table. He said that way your stuff is always being protected by someone at the table. Might be some truth to that.

Used to have one...

Yeah I had one of those, it worked well. Thinking of getting the one produced by Tiger Products. It will hold three. I have around 4+ cues and really utilize three in a match. The Claw is great if u don't have to put much in a cue case. I just wanted to get the Tiger one because of it's low profile.

But Claw is definitely reccommended. :)
