Q-Men Vintage Billiards

Thank you. I've never seen Peterson before other than in a few stills. That was a treat.
 
I have always enjoyed these old videos. One thing for sure, these guys were Champions in their field. Another observation is how far we have come in correcting the old thought pattern of where to grip our cue....SPF=randyg

Ever heard of "Ten-Twenty"?

It aired on ABC and it was a game show with Billiards. :)

The show I just converted has Cowboy Jimmy Moore and Irving Crane. They play a game on the table called Ten-Twenty.

It is awesome

I don't know... the balance point might be a fine place to hold your cue for a shot where all ball motion totals to less than an inch. Not that I would know, since I can't excecute such a shot.

Speaking of those tiny shots, did it seem to anyone else that some of the strokes in the chuck nurse demonstration might have been push fouls?

You are very right. School teaches when and where to hold your cue in tight situations. Keep up the good work...SPF+randyg
 
Why have we changed from the greats?

Great stuff. I am just wondering how these tips, gifts from the past should be dissreguarded. So Randy G. or others what did Hoppie Mean when he said-Hold cue lightly at balance pt,not at extreme butt end. Let the weight of the cue do the work,and forget "followthrough". Charley Peterson and Willie Hoppe. page 516 Billiard Enclcopedia. mark
