Qatar World Cup 10 Ball 2024 (9-14 Dec2024) Prize Fund $450K Winner $100K+

afaik 10b on break re-spots in any 10b game. not sure about DCC but i've only seen it go a few times in my life on the break. pretty rare. 10b last is pretty dull to watch, and play.
I’ve made three 10s on the break in a race to 13…and I won those games….no goofy call shot for me.

I’m actually surprised people are still giving Filler a hard time. At the end of the day, he basically said (me paraphrasing):

I’m going to do whatever the hell I want, even if it’s different than what I said before. If you don’t like it, go pound sand.

That attitude is worthy of respect, imo, especially amongst pool players who imo have always been free thinking rolling stones.

Same as I've been saying lol

What a great hustle - I'm not playing - surprise bitches!

A lot of people are ignoring that Filler is sponsored by Predator and played in a Predator tournament. What would they have done?

I don’t think he did it with that mindset. He simply changed his mind when push came to shove. (Or probably didn’t have it completely made up when he was on the boycott letter bandwagon).

He’s also not crying (at least publicly) that he got kicked off Reyes and Mosconi.

IMO.

My version is more fun 😁

marlon manolo is still winning, knocked out darren. he must have kept his skills sharpened during all these years

its some kind of Filipino sorcery. I think if they bite the head off a chicken and listen to Ozzie Osborne every few years its keeps their skillset sharp. ;)

ex world 10b champ Wojciech, Niels, Wu Kun Lin are out

Last 32 (Race to 11)
Daniel Maciol v Ali Alobaidii

Oliver Szolnoki v Minh Tai

I've hated that kid since the first time I saw him pounding his concave, defenseless chest and pumping his little fists after a win.
Since then, he has matured and become more professional while I have grown wiser and remember how cocky I was as a young buck.
I am now able to appreciate his talent and find myself rooting for him to win matches on occasion.

So saying one thing and doing the exact opposite is ok and is 'worthy of respect'???? Need to step away from the pipe bud.

To me he's just a non-entity. I really don't care if he wins or loses. I wouldn't get out of the electric chair to go watch him play. I've seen champions play my whole life so seeing/not seeing him play really means nothing. He's about as entertaining as a rash.

that's hard, haha

i don't care a big deal about character / flaws. it's what's going on between the rails that's interesting to me. earl was my hero because he played fast and accurate, and i liked mika in his heyday. both had their fair share of critics and i guess filler is in that category now.

back to the qatar topic, soufi is another fun player. drew chang. would be an interesting clash of styles

I think call shot works, but some logic could be applied in such situations as this. Like what else was he going to do? I would expect him to call no pocket if he laid a safe. It's just a simple application of common sense on the referees part.
How can there even be a question of what he was doing there? He has to hit the ball and i don't think it was possible to hit it without fouling and NOT have it drop. That's poor officiating.

Marlon Manalo...blast from the past. He was a beast during the IPT years.

his run stopped at L32 against mario he. still impressive. i checked cuetracker and it seems he played a snooker tournament in asia, but that was a couple of years ago.

the other comeback kid, ruslan, is still in. plays maciol in L16

As we have seen, this field is deep, and there are many left with a shot at the title.

The interesting unknown for me is Ameer Ali, who beat Morra 9-2 and Lechner 11-6. I didn't see any of these matches, but I know how well you have to play to romp over these two players.

I like Daniel Maciol's title chances, but it's very hard to feel strongly about anyone here. May the best man win.

PS My sentimental favorite is Mario He.
