If you click on the Online Tournament Coverage you can see that there are 10 tournaments going on this weekend...

I know one player who gives it a try in Switzerland, with a free entry, but how many will there actually be this weekend???

The qualifers in Europe starts in less than 8 hours. Do you think the players will get some information before the tournaments starts?

Roy, The humane thing to do is to warn them. Why give this "AssHOLE" one more dollar?

the registration is closed, so the players at the qualifiers have already paid...

At least they get some tabletime.

They have to pay by credit card here. Didn't you say start time was 8 hours away? There is still time. Shouldn't the room owners be notified?

I understand it puts you in a bad position, but, put yourself in their poistion.
As you stated earlier, $2000 to a lot of people is a months salary.

Yes, but the draw has already been done, they have paid! There is no chance to get the money back, then they need to get it back from KT... And I guess that's not too easy...

(The draw is done normally 12 hours before start-time, then sent to the local tournament directors)

Roy, If they paid using a credit card, they may be able to go thru the disputed charge process with the charge company and have the payment reversed. I've done that once with a purchase of a computer that I made and never received with a company that filed for bankruptsy and the card company voided the charge. It was very easy.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure whether not playing would be required or an advantage in that process.
