Qualifiers this weekend

I can see that the two young Russian guys who plays the Eurotour regulary have joined qualifiers. Konstantin Stepanov and Konstantin Zolotilov. Stepanov is the better player of them, but both are players for the future. I think they are ranked 16th and 30th in the Eurotour. EDIT: Ranked 24th and 54th. (Zolotilov didn't play the last one)

I couldn't get the coverage for Germany. Anyone know who's playing?

get Germany to come up either. Ryan Behnke is playing in a qualifier this weekend.

They have 11 players at Cosmos in Tokyo.
 
stephavov is te player... i think is the one who have should have won.... 2 eurotours allready... He is so good... maybe he will know it in time!

They must not get on the AZ Forum or read B.D. in Japan or despite what is written they have a Yen to gamble on the IPT.

Does anyone know what happenned to the qualifier that was listed for Toronto this weekend ????

Am I Coming Or Going ?

I've been following along very closely on this IPT fiasco, but last night and again today, real life got in my way (lawyers, insurance companies, hospital, auto insurance, health insurance). Now, try as I might, I can't quite get the current status clear in my head.
I believe that KT said that the checks would be mailed out 7-10 days after finalizing the Ho merger/buyout including a possible IPO. Am I correct that he announced the papers had been finalized (signed?) this past Monday (or was it Friday or this coming Monday). It's starting to get all confused in my head. Are we awaiting another 'announcement' and when ?
I remember reading (I think) that we were all waiting for Nov. 1st, but I can't remember the importance of Nov. 1st..
What is the next date or Announcement that we should keep an eye out for ? I swear, I had it all straight in my head and now it's all unclear.

The next "date" we are waiting for is precisely "7 to 10 days, maybe sooner", as measured from the date of the last announcement about subsquent and forthcoming future pending announcements.
 
It IS confusing, isn't it? I *think* that this is the current state of play, as of the announcement made 10/23/06:

1) "The financing package in relation to the Ho Interactive acquisition of the IPT has been signed. This means that IPT players will be receiving checks for the World Open tournament next week." - In theory this is all he needed to say. If this is correct it is the end to the sad and convoluted Reno prize payment saga and the rest is only relevant to the IPT's future. In theory.

2) IPT is "working on finalizing the formal documents relating to the Ho Interactive acquisition and initial public offering. We hope to formally sign these documents and make a formal public announcement early next week." - In theory this has nothing to do with whether the checks get sent out or not. (See 1) It will be something to do with the Ho deal and the purses for Chicago and other events.

3) "Our staff will be calling each and every one of you so that we may send checks to you via overnight priority delivery." - Again in theory this is just a courtesy call that will be happening next week. Cynics speculate he may use this call to offer players lower payouts offset against future earnings and/or shares from any IPO that actually ends up taking place. Really cynical people speculate he won't even give people a choice to take the full payment now. People who believe KT is pure unadulterated evil incarnate might even go so far as to speculate that he will threaten to cancel their 2007 tour card if they refuse to take a cut in their Reno prize money.

4) "I will update you again next Monday with more specific details." - Presumably he means details about 2, and not 1. Presumably.

That's not funny. I'm out of chocolate syrup to put in my milk and my wife hid the cookies that I wanted to dunk. I went in for a cat scan and the unpopped kernels of corn started exploding in my stomach. The surgeon called in a 'specialist' and Ripley's Believe It Or Not. To top it off, my family physician has forbidden me to eat popcorn for 72 hours.
