Quality life of professional players

Why is it so hard for people to admit not all but that the vast majority of pool promoters do a louzy job?
That they are the main reason Pool has failed to reach full potential until now?

Take another look please for the love of God!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBCm-vAXHYo&feature=fvsr

It is 100% clear that this is a formal presentation of Earl's show over there!!!!
And this is the way they chose to present it!!!!

Believe me I'm not talking off the top of my hat either!!!
I have nothing against anyone and I have no personal profit interest in Pool.
I love Pool and I just want to emphasize what is wrong in such occasions and what can be done better, this isn't about me.

The people that sponsored that event may be the greatest people on earth but that has nothing to do with it.
The way this show is presented gives absolutely zero respect to the game!!!
And sadly this is no exception, it is the rule!!!
They just could not pass those few bucks for that table time and a few more beers under loud club music....... Just for a few minutes....

This was just another example of Pool treated the wrong way.
All of the people making profit out of Pool loose money in the long run since this way Pool will never move forward.....
The rest of us just get frustrated that as long as this is going on we will never see the day of really being proud about the sport......

Petros, are you saying that you would rather have it not promoted at all, then promoted the way it was done. If that happens to be the only promoter willing to spend the time and money wouldn't you agree that it a good thing.

I would rather see more demonstrations like that , then less. Wouldn't you agree that more exposure is better for the game than less exposure.

I already wrote that something is better than nothing, no argument in that!!

I'm just saying that things can be done a lot better, Pool deserves it!!

The way most promoters present the sport does great damage to it!!

This is one of the main reasons Pool has not achieved what it can.

Please make no excuses for that kind of situation, this is the sad truth, if this is they way they treat a living legend believe me these people are not good for Pool, even if they are the best people in the world.

I believe most of the people that play competitive Pool for years, asking nothing for them but the chance to enjoy it, would agree with me.

True respect to the game, that's the only way forward...

you also have to remember that alot of those players do not get all of the prize money, even after taxes and expenses, they are put in the tourney alot of the time ,and some will get a bigger percentage then others.

On a different note,

SCOTT LEE

Do you play at the Billiard Cafe/Brickyard Pub in Battle Creek? Is it still thriving? Does Jayme Goodwin still shoot as great as he always has?
