Question about PayPal

This may not be the right place to ask but I am going to give it a try.
I have had a PP account for a few years. Now all the sudden they want
to hold payments in a pending balance. This is the second time this has happened in about 6 months. I don't have the time to call to speak to some one it takes about one hour for a real person to pick up. I do not or never had any charge backs. never any problems on my end. I have done
a few sales on ebay and feed back is 100% . Am I the only one? I am thinking I can do with out EB AND pp. What do you think the problem is.

John, this may be because the buyer is not a verified paypal or ebay user. They are actually protecting you (and themselves) until the payment is cleared (probably made with a credit card). I have had this happen several times over the years and just with held shipping until the payment was cleared by paypal. When the money was released into my account, without restrictions, is when I shipped. Not before.

There are two reasons I know of that will cause PayPal to hold funds in a pending balance. One is they have put monthly withdrawal amount restrictions on your account and the other is where (I think always in eBay transactions) they are waiting for the buyer to signal his satisfaction and the delivery of the goods you sold. Which (if either) is applicable to your situation?

You are not in Vegas?

One the the reasons PayPal "pends" is to wait until the buyer receives his goods. In that scenario, your solution would just lead to a stalemate.

Thanks for your reply. I am thinking along that line of thought. What makes me so mad is they want to make me feel like a crook. If I list something on ebay or any where else I have and own that

I opted out of this match. Earl doesn't like me and I didn't want our personal differences to divert attention from the match. In other words I didn't want my presence to be a distraction. Also I just returned home from the Philippines and I'm still jet lagged, feeling somewhat disoriented. Kenny Shuman, Mark Griffin and The Rogan will do quite well I'm sure. Thanks :)

I'm sure that making you feel one way or another has nothing to do with their actions.

Thanks Jay, I do think it is from ebays end. I do a few things on EB and work with My website as a hobby. My day job is restore
some old cars like My 1970 chevelle in my avatar. I am working on a 1970
chevelle for one of My customers and a 1930 ford . Do you see the pictures I post on Face Book ? Not sure what I am doing about sharing is right. I do spend money on pool cues from my income working on the cars.

Same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. I was paying BHQ for the cue he just finish. It make me look bad.

just one of those things we have to deal with

as far as i can tell,
the payment has cleared and is still in my paypal
