Question about playing 9 ball ghost

I'm playing the 6 ball ghost. Lets say I make the 5 ball on the break. I have been leaving the 7 ball on the table so there's still 6 balls on the table. I'm wondering if this is correct. Thanks

The way I had always played what goes down stays down...I needed all the help I could get! Great game for focus, I hated racking the balls after a miss.

Rack a normal 9 ball rack, break and run to the 6 ball.

Play it the same way you would if someone was giving you the 6 ball as a spot.

I never played that way before.

When first introced to the game I was told:

Try a 6 ball rack (always use the highest balls, so you get it in your head you can run them, no dog allowed).

Break the balls, anything goes in stays in.
If you scratch you have grace
Ball in hand, you must run out
5 ahead is the match

When you win your share add another ball.
The mental part of the game, is great. I was forced to focus otherwise I was racking the balls all the time.

I did end my career with all 9 balls and the ghost didn't like the game :)

LOL at Robin!

All the help you could get?

You won the World Championship 2 years in a row!

Players of your caliber SHOULD rack the balls (at least once a month)!

:p
