How many ques do you currently own.

How many ques have you owned in the past?

What is your reason for owning so many (or few) ques?

It was either crack, women, or cues...I think cues are better for my health and wallet...as I am now married that pretty much eliminated the first two.

Number I have owned...probably close to 100 if you count the junk cues, number I have now...TOO MANY!

Shorty

I own two cues. (one is a break cue)

I've been playing about 15 years now and have owned 7 cues during that span (two break cues)

I consider that to be a low number. My reason? I blame myself for missed shots, not the cue.

2 - jump break cue and a playing cue with one shaft

I've owned several in the past, but I keep coming back to the same one I've been using for years. I'll probably stick with it too - my theory is that once you find a cue you play well with you should stick with it, forever if possible.

I've owned probably around 50-60 cues over the past 10-12 yrs.

Naturally as my ability and financial situation progressed (or decreased!), I was able to get different cues. I have been buying/selling, and for the most part have used everything that I have sold.

I'm sure the trend will continue.

I currently have 7. Only 3 are used.

Now, I think you need a point of perspective on this.

First, you need to engage a bunch of women in a discussion about the number of pairs of shoes they own ( regardless of how many of them they really wear ) why they *need* this many and are they going to buy less of them in the future, even though they have so many already.

After you've come to fully comprehend that, then it become so much easier to understand our need for 10 or even 15 different cues :D

You choose cues to match the colour of your shirt ? Take out the 120 inlay 8-point custom job when feeling good ? The black Cuetec when feeling down ? I don't think this would work for me ... but to each his (or her) own.

Dave, owns 3 cues (not including 1 piece house cues), but doesn't use the old playing cue

Some people own cars, women own tons of shoes...or cats or dogs....doesn't matter.

Some of us like cues.

if we do it right, they will be worth more down the road.

Most people's "collections" don't appreciate in value. Hopefully ours do.

Dave <---- betting most people DO collect one thing or another.

OVER 45 YEARS & ONLY 3 CUES.

I've been playing over 45 years and have had only 3 different cues.
#1 - MY BALABUSHKA - In the bank vault.
#2 - A Sneaky Pete Balabushka that George made for me. It broke just under the joint about 2 weeks after George died. I was playing at 44th & May in Okla City and the owner offered me $500. I thought he was nuts and took it. I DIDN'T KNOW GEORGE HAD DIED.
#3 - I am currently playing with a Lucasi that I bought on eBay for $89 & I love it.

TY & GL

Ps. I'm not counting Jump/Break cues.

This really does blow me away...I would have at least expected some cues were used as payoff when a few guys came up short over the years.
You have more loyalty to your cue than almost any man I've ever known with his wife!

In about 17 years of playing I have owned 5 cues..

Started out with a Dufferin sneaky pete
Muecci 2 point cue birds eye black wrap red veneers ( still have it ) Played bad but looks great...
Joss Sneaky Pete
Mike Webb 60in cue Purple Heart and Ebony tiger maple..(cue for life)
PK breakstick...

Started with a schmelke, then huebler, then meucci. Had a couple of meucci's for a while. Then I ordered a Hercek. While waiting for the Hercek I picked up an Espiritu, a 1975 Meucci, and 2 Schons. Along the way I bought a lot of other cues when I thought the price was right, reselling them here and there.

I still have the Hercek and the two Schon's. I'm keeping one Schon as a collector's item (it's from the early 1980s); and the other is my main shooting cue. The Hercek I keep because it's a Hercek, but because of the places I shoot I rarely use it. And with these three, I think I'm done buying pool cues.

I've had three cues:

My first was a Players (shut up - I was a newbie), then a Muecci. I now play with the Joss I've had for ten years or so. Had a Cuetec (as a break cue) but since the tip has been broken for some months now, I have shelved it. I'm now shopping for a new cue, a Schon.

I've won 'em & sold 'em A.S.A.P.

I've also only had one wife. Going on 25 years (next month). 25 years with No Parole, No Early Release & No Time Off For Good Behavior.
We have two bueatifull Kids & I THINK I'm still a Virgin.

As they say - "If you do it right the first time, once is enough".
OR, as I say -
"If you do it once and then get Fat 'n Old - You don't have any choice.

who can remember ....

When you get as old as me, you can't remember all the cues you've stroked,
or in my case, even all the ex-wives you've stroked ...lol

lets see, my first cue was given to me as a Xmas present from
my brother .... a 3 piece cue with 2 1 oz. weights, so you could
adjust the weight of your cue if desired, and back then I desired ...lol

I have had meucci, viking, hueblers (fond of for a long time), have
won as many as 3 cues in a night (sold'm too), lucasi, never kept
more than 4 playing cues at a time, went custom with Shurtz cues,
and still am ....

If my cues are deserving, they get a name, always female in nature.
(Sara was a favorite cue of mine for 20 years - a Huebler)

With the women around here, my cues get more of my time, cost
less, and have more fun with. The women around here are saving
it for a rainy day .... that's about the only time it gets wet ...

I was just talking about this exact subject last night. I really don't understand the person who will show up at the pool room and play with different cues from their collection on different days. If I had a cue that I really liked and I was used to, which I do, why would I leave it at home and go play with another cue? I have always felt like the biggest advantage to having your own cue was that you could get used to it and play your best with it by taking out the variable of having to get used to a different cue each time you play.

I have a Schon I'll sell if you're interested. ;)

It's an STL-19. The only time it's been played with is when I let someone hit a few balls who was considering buying it.

Oh, goodness... don't know any other way to word this... I am hoping to find one with pink in the butt. (Laugh it up.)

I see so many nice ones but they'll have blue and I'd like something kinda feminine. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is that ...

Is that so you will be a matched pair? ..... LMAO (God, I am getting excited)

or to match your outfit or shoes? .... lol
