Question for Fast Larry

Hey Fast Larry,

I read in one of your posts that you are in the Ripley's book. I was wondering if you came through the Chicagoland area about 3 maybe 4 years ago? I remember a guy coming through handing out papers documenting all of his shots that were listed in Ripley's. Just trying to figure out who it was.

Sarah thanks for saying hello and may I say you have a lovely smile. There is only one Ripley's person, me. Only the great Willie Hoppe got in twice, but every one of the great hall of famers got in once. I hold the record of getting in 5 times 5 years in a row. Any one who wants a autograph I give them a sheet that shows my 5 shots and 5 cartoons from ripleys. That could have only been me, for I am the man and you can believe that, or not.

During that period of time I was in to do the Schuler cue factory new years eve show when it snowed about 2 feet.
The next year I was in to spend a week with Stealt Cues. I was around Palatine, Quinton corners, around town and at Chris's on the Verhovens. i love Chicago, grew up in KCMO. That was mid summer I think. I travel the world so it's a big rock so you no longer see me showing up any place much any more. Frankly most of my appearances now should be viewed at the final one. I am in my final 3 years of the game and then plan to retire to my Ranchero in costa rica so when I come in now I say pay close attention because I now only pass this way but once. There are no two takes on this one. :D

Oh yes, a real first class joint. very cool people run it. There is a classic example of what a place should be like. You have billiard experts and pro players running a place and they make it right and they attract in the best like you. What is so hard about this? Why can't every one figure this out.

They had a really first class 3-cushion table and I spent almost all of my time playing on it. When I see one of these, Pool I could care less about. It was a Gabriel, my mind, it's now mush, I can't remember where my friggin car keys are in the morning. They say when you get old you lose two things, the first one is your memory, I can't remember what the 2nd one is.

Did we go to bed, if we did I would like to brag about it on AZ. Just kidding. :D

I think the 2nd thing that you are referring to may be tact. :)

That being said, I'd still like to see you if you ever exhibit in the northwest part of the country.
 
Yoou are right Larry, it is a nice place with nice poeple. The billiard table is gone. It has been replace by a pool table. It was only getting use during the day.

Anyway...sorry there is nothing to brag about besides the pool room.

I've noticed a lot of class in all of Sarah's posts. Seems to be able to handle herself quite well. Just what the pool world needs if you ask me. Sam
 
Sarah conducts herself like a true "professional" should. A lot of people could learn something from her.

Ah sucks, I was looking forward to the story. My problem is I have been everywhere, done everything and now I can't remember any of it so what was the point in doing it in the first place.

To "slower than before" Larry

Your tact with a women is about as good as your pool game. Needless to say, not very good...You shouldn't feel threatened by her presence just because she's a TRUE professional, and you're stuck in the trick shot biz because you can't run out. Maybe you can learn from her. Even after you tried to belittle her, she didn't post five paragraphs about how hard her life is or odds she's overcome (like youself). She posted nothing negative towards you. If you could just do the same maybe all of the threads you are involved in would be two pages shorter! I'm sure youy'll reply witha "who are you to say anything?", but in all honesty I'm just someone who doesn't mind letting you know that your _____ DOES stink!

You are absolutely correct, the guy was simply kidding around, you could clearly see that. She took it the same way, came back with a tactful lady like reply and FL moved on. There was no attack or slight put on Sarah by FL, but it did not take long for somebody to use that against him and to attack him. Larry fools around with ladies all the time. I saw him put a Hawiian lei around the neck of this really nice looking lady at a show once and said now you can go home and tell all of your friends you were laid by Fast Larry. That is the way the guy is, he's liable to do anything for a laugh. He means no harm or insult with these things. There are too many people wired up too tight on this board who are jumping him every time he opens up his mouth. They must listen to too much talk radio and feel every time they hear something they don't like they can go off on an insult tear. Man, lighten up people, you gringos need to drink more tequila and eat more burritos, then you will be more fun to be around.
