Question for TAR Re: Efren vs. Shane for Justin/Mark

I saw where Justin was purchasing some very rare screws for one of his rifles/guns, so I know he is getting PHAT off of the TAR shows.

The TAR matches are some of the best gambling/exhibition matches around for sure.

Larue actually sent them to me for free. One more reason to love Texas.

Justin,

A couple of questions for the VoD:

(1) Will it be possible to pause the match and restart it? I work long night shifts and these are the times that I would get the stream, but it is punctuated with shorts periods of actual work and I would hate to miss chunks of the match.

(2) If we purchase the stream will it be accessible forever or only for a limited time?

(3) Are DVDs officially over?

DaddysVisa.

Yes you will be able to start and stop it wherever.

The match will be available for download when you buy the VOD. You can watch it streaming online from any device for one year. You can also download the file and keep it forever. If you want you can burn it to DVD or whatever you want. The pricing for the digital download/online streaming will be about 20% of what the DVD would cost. On average it will be $15 for an entire match.

DVD's of matches are officially over. We will be doing a DVD of the SVB Instructional when all the parts are finished.

With multiple day TAR matchups would that be 15 for each or for the whole? If its for each section would there be a package to purchase all 3?

Sounds pretty solid to be able to start, stop, download and even be able to access for a year.

Thanks

Shane/Efren was the best one yet. If we could do that every time it would open up a lot of possibilities.

Busty/Alex surprised me in that we basically broke even after all expenses. I'm not sure why that is. Some have said its because there was no "bad guy" or real story line other than two great players playing. I think some people probably waited for SVB/Efren and didnt buy TAR 33. Its hard to watch pool for two weekends in a row and $70-$90 in one month is a lot for streaming PPV in one month.

For the next month I am focusing on getting the VOD set up so people can see the past matches and provide a steady income to offset the monthly nut of the studio. The Vimeo platform is working well on the SVB instructional and the revenue split is good.

Most of our best matches money wise have had Shane in them. So while there is some people who say they are tired of seeing him the numbers say they are in the minority. The SVB/Dechaine match did above average and I think that was due to the Facebook buzz and Mike channeling Chael Sonnen a little bit. Mike and I have had our differences but I give him props for being able to push a match.

What TAR needs is a few more sponsors, a working VOD platform, pumping up the YouTube channel and getting a viable merchandise program running. All are on the list for this summer. I have all the pieces in place for all of them its just a matter of details and getting things done now.

The only reason it has lasted this long is all of the people who have supported TAR over the years by buying matches and Mark being able to cover the nut when things don't add up at the end of the month. Mark doesn't trumpet all he does for pool but I assure you nothing TAR has done the last few years would have happened if it wasn't for him.

The nature of live events is feast or famine so the goal is to smooth things out with steady streams of income. Before last weekend I was wondering if it just wasn't possible to keep it going but last weekend showed the market is there I just have to find a way to get it.

Thank you to everyone who buys our stuff and for having interest in what TAR does.

The blast email reminder was very helpful. I would have missed the first day if that didn't come in.

Right now I'm looking at $5 for each day of a match so it would be $10 or $15 for a whole match depending on if it went two days or three.

You can stream it for a year on Vimeo as well as download it to keep forever. So when the year of streaming is up you keep the video file if you choose to download it.

Honestly I don't know what more a pool player could ask for.

BTW .. I enjoyed the Shane and Efren Podcast about as much as the match. Both Shane and Efren were very entertaining and it looked like Shane really enjoyed getting to ask Efren some questions too.

JCIN,

This is very good news. The fact that you can pause, restart and download them is great. At your prices of $5 per day I would likely buy most of your matches. I think this is a very reasonable price structure. i wish you the best of luck in this venture.

$5 is as good as it gets..there were a lot of matches that I missed one day of and for 5 bucks I can go back and get a bunch..burn them to my external HD or to a DVD..can't ask for more then that.

Can't wait for this setup, hurry up!

Justin, just a thought here but how about unlimited downloads for a certain price? $100 a year or something? Might generate more money. Just a thought.

THIS!! .. Seriously. How can anyone not in love with pool not be lining up to get on this. It's a freakin' DEAL and a half!! $15 for an entire TAR match, I feel like I got the stone cold nuts!

JCIN- Will all of TAR's matches from the past be available on VOD?

I have to explore the details of the platform to see many different titles it will support. Worst case I rotate content. First matches up will be the newer ones with more to follow as time his on. New content every month.

Justin do you have an idea when the store will be up with some merchandise like t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, patches..etc also will you be branding out into more expensive stuff with the TAR logo like cases (not the major 3x5 or 4x8 leather, but maybe a simple 1x1 or 1x2 tube case with TAR and Tar supporter logos like Kamui and OB?

Justin. I been out of the loop. Been working hard and raisng a family.
Please find a way to get us the info as to the purchase of the matches. I am definitely going to get the VOD. TAR has been such a wonderful site for pool enthusiasts. Thank you.
