Question for the experts

I have realized in my quest of becoming a cue maker that not all sand paper is build equally. I started by going very cheep with the harbor freight stuff but I realized that is stained the shaft, the ferule and it clogs so easy.

So what is a good bang for buck sandpaper brand as well as what is the best stuff you ever used considering all grits?
 
3M brand is the general standard. It's easy to get,and super consistent. You cannot go wrong with it.

Norton has some good stuff,but without ordering it online,I can't get it.

I'm looking at trying the Klingspor stuff myself.

I've never used it,but heard good things about Indasa and Mirka too.

I can get Carborundum brand stuff locally,but it's 2.00 a sheet at a body shop.

I can give you my honest opinion though. The Carborundum 600 grit is the best I've ever used. Tommy D.

HF sand paper is trash..........

Google a local napa auto body supply store or another store of that sort.

Thats where I buy all my sandpaper, sanding sponges, clear, buffing and polishing compounds at one time its basically all 3M and very high quality at a good price.
 
Go to an auto paint store

They have W/D 50 to 2000

Well in my eyes with sandpaper is , you get what you pay for. what I like is Kingspors PS33W. PS33W
