Quick Questions and Answers : The Thread

I've seen this done on other forums with great success. There are several times when a thread is started for something that is just a quick question that needs a quick answer. It might be a positive thing to have a thread like this here in the Main Forum of AZB. What does everyone think? It's something we could all participate in when someone has a simple question. It would also help with clutter on the Main forum.

I'll start with my own quick question..

Is it possible to replace the cushion system on my Brunswick Contender Bayfield 8 foot table? If so what cushion system would be recommended?

Feel free to add your own 'quick questions' and if we like the idea and the thread goes well perhaps we can get a sticky of it.

Define 'cushion system' please...the rubber?....whole new top?

No.

I don't know if that's the right answer but you said a quick answer so I guessed for the 50% shot at being right. :-)

I'll guess "yes". Now between the two of us we are running at 100%....can't get better than that.

So I guess this thread idea wouldn't work here.

<--- Should have picked an easier question. To start things off.

Here's a quick one, which is better, CTE or TOI?

Juuuuuust kidding.

OK something more concrete and simple.
Those of you who are proficient jumpers, can you forget about looking at the CB once you're set, and just look at the object ball the whole time (and even refine your aim)?
I have a heckuva time with this.

I prefer looking at the cue-ball last, any time I jack up.
Although maybe this question should be answered by the Pearl, who, as you
may very well know, could jump full-length with a Meucci.

Now how strong is THAT?

Could you please stop this endless self promotion

Could you please stop this endless self promotion of what YOU think would make the "main forum" better, because "you saw it somewhere else" on an eating forum.(no one cares what bob eats)....and demanding a certain speed (quick) of answer, that's just disturbing.....and posting table mechanic questions on a forum clearly designed and designated for TOI, TAR, and "ghost ball" propaganda. :nono:

WOW, that felt weird, like it makes any difference to anyone what someone else does on the main forum, this is the first time I'm sure. :groucho:

I can't imagine being serious about telling someone how they should or shouldn't be in life. If we were all the same and "organized like everyone else wanted" it would certainly be boring (and like herding cats).

Here's to everyone being different......Cheers:thumbup:

It took me a while to find this reply since I thought the thread was dead in the water but...
