Sometimes subtle protest or hints work best. Confrontational stances usually meet same.Jazz said:I think you meant to say Bring Him Back!!!!![]()

I told him this a couple of months ago and was told that he thinks Dave does a fine job and has the site's best interest at heart. He said that there are times that he doesn't agree with something and he'll call Dave and talk about it. At least he extends Dave a courtesy that Dave doesn't extend to most.... speaking about an issue privately.buddha162 said:Mike,
Your oldest posters, many of whom remained uncontroversial, above-the-fray for years are now trying to tell you that something is horribly wrong with how AZB is being managed. I hope you listen, since this is, after all, your baby.

I am a cuemaker and he does not buy my cues BUT he is always straight forward and honest in the things he says.
I don't always agree with him but I value his opinion and I support his right to say what he thinks.
The internet is one of the last vestiges of freedom in this world and without voices like JIMBOS' we all suffer a great loss.

Guess that was too difficult for some users to understand. It takes a bit of pushing for me to ban someone (especially a second banning) but it does happen if you push hard enough.
For the record, there have been two users that I banned and didn't feel bad about it afterward. One was Larry and the other was the green guy. Everyone else (DM, Rude Dog, Shorty, Marissa) has been a last resort sort of thing.

It was evaluated.... Mr. Stroud was directed to usenet if he didn't like the way things here are handled.pharaoh68 said:Uhhh..... not that the opinions of all others don't matter, but I believe when Mr. Bill Stroud says that JimBo is a knowledgeable individual, perhaps we need to re-evaluate.
Mr. Wilson said:There is always usenet for people who want that freedom.
With a board like this, which is private property, there is a limit to "freedom of speech".
There are a set of written rules that people agree to in order to post on the forum.
If they don't wish to follow the rules, despite numerous warnings, who is at fault?

Mr. Wilson said:Brian, the posters you are talking about were warned and there were no punches pulled.
Again, this would be an example of the private, behind the scenes action that people cannot have knowledge of in this argument.
On the other hand, I'm also damned if I warn them in public.
( Inquiring minds want to know )
People are pissed if I don't shut a thread right away, other's that it was too early. ( they weren't invited to the dogpile )
Some complain that their name is being dragged through the mud and demand that the thread is removed from sight, other's....well now they can't see what all the fuss was about.
It never ends.
