Rack-M-Rite Racking Template

Are these effective on tables that have old cloth? Or do all of the dimples already in the cloth make it too late to use this?
when I saw racking templates discussed for the first time (I recall it was in regard with preparing the cloth for Sardo rack) they said old cloth can be prepared for templates this way: moisten the rack area and leave it overnight to dry. No need to pour water on the cloth of course, just rub it with a damp cloth. The same method can be used if you did tapping procedure wrong or just there is a need to re-tap after extensive use. After the cloth dries the dimples disappear and you can tap the table again.

I've sent out 8 of these and still have 12 left. PM if interested. I am the original inventor (with my partner Dale Craig) of the racking template/tapping mat. My original was used in pro tournaments in the US and then copied and used on the Euro tour for years and has been used in the World Ten Ball Championships.

I got mine in the mail today. Thank you. It does what it says it will. Took me all of about 3 minutes to tap my table and played about 50 racks of 9 & 10-ball getting a perfect rack every time. Johnnyt

Review

I received my template yesterday, and I am very happy with it. The improvement made from the first version is significant. It can be rolled up and easily taken to your favorite poolhall.

I tapped my home table last night, and this system works great. Wing ball made on every break, and since the racks are so perfect, you don't have to overhit them, thus controlling whitey is easier.

One one of my breaks I pocketed 5 balls on the break, without having to kill the rack.

I brought it to our 9-ball league tonight, and tapped our teams playing table. All players were impressed with how the balls froze up on each other.

Thank you Dave for a quality product!:thumbup:

That's about the best way to spread the word. One small group of 5-10 league players at a time right there seeing how easy and effective it is, nice.

I was thinking they would only work well on brand new cloth. How old was yours?

Received mine today, thanks for getting it out so quickly :)

Dont know when Ill get a chance to try it, but once I do Ill post my thoughts.

I'd be interested in trying it out on our tables here in Kandahar, Afghanistan. These tables see alot of abuse and use non stop, 24/7. I refelted one of the tables with Simonis 860, while it's in decent shape, it's showing a lot of wear. It's become next to impossible to get a decent rack. Please send me a pm regarding paypay, and I'll send and address back. Thanks!
