Raj Hundal strong words about 9-ball/breaking/the rack

Sounds like he's mad because he lost. Sour grapes I guess. I appreciate the link.

EDIT: spelling

What an ass. The right way to play is to win. If you see the guys making balls on the break, break like them. Why kill them. Nothing in the rules say crush them.

Wonder if he takes women on dates or just club them like the good old days. Like a man should. Hit them hard until they do what you want.

he's an ass

What???

Comparing the cut break to sharking? They hit the balls HARD for as long as I can remember & the general public didn't watch. Now he thinks nobody is going to watch because of the cut break, they don't even know about the cut break because THEY DON'T WATCH. There is no way to make the public watch. Well maybe if they were on fire, or they got executed if they lost.

A vote for 10-ball from a strong, knowledgeable player. Who was it that Raj Hundal had just lost to?

A player can and should do anything within the rules to maxiumize his chance to win.

As a game, I think 9-ball is one of the worst game of pool we have. Strategically, there are very few options compared to other games like one-pocket, snooker, or even eight-ball. I like seeing the creativity the other games can produce.

I don't mind him *****ing about it because I agree you shouldn't be able to pocket a ball at will off of the break. Put your energy into changing the rules and not just protecting your "manly" break theory.

Don't you mean 10 ball without breaking soft? Think Corey D. There's already not enough money in pool. I think these guys need to do whatever it takes to win within the rules. This includes soft breaking. So are we going to complain if a guy breaks too hard? Maybe they should have a machine break because that would be fair:rolleyes: If a guy banks better than everyone will he be banned from banking? Get real

He'd just lost to Imran Majid. Currently the dominant player on the GB9-Ball tour and the Euro Tour i think.

I do agree with what he says. He's a strong willed, opinionated person and i don't think he's just ranting because he lost. He does have a point. The game looks like a joke sometimes when you have a soft cut break and 3 balls plopping down leaving six open balls to run out. And in this country especially where snooker is the main game it's no wonder people see 9-ball and write off pool as a joke.

10-ball is the way forward imo.

That's a good point but....... he basically said (I turned it off after about 30 seconds of his whinning) if a person can't break hard, then he's not a man....He used the old man vs. wimp thing. The alternating break will help this soft break thing. Plus, the same argument can be made about safety shots in some locations. Where I play, if you safety play, you'll have a pool stick wrapped around your neck. It is taken that everyone will try to make the shot....no safety. The same goes with using a bridge. I remember playing a safety one night and almost had to fight my way out after I won.

Sounds like imran kickes his a$$. what a cry baby. take your loss and move on. if you dont want to play 9 ball then dont play on a 9 ball tour!

wonder what would happen if everybody had to break from the spot, right in the center? you gotta hit em hard then right? i guess it would wear down pretty quick tho.

It hasn't been said enought or at all, but these bar banger guys probably have the biggest impact on pools negative image as any pro or league player. These guys don't know the rules and buy into the tough guy pool playing image.

thought to self: beating dead horse

That's basically what I got from seeing him over a few days...

i <3 raj. great guy. funny as hell.

i personally hate the soft break. i think you hear top pros like raj complain about it because it allows lesser players to win. hit the ball here, make the same balls here, run the same pattern out. rinse and repeat.

Sounds like hes pissed cause someone figured out how to beat him. So we switch to ten ball what happens when someone figures out a good way to break softly at 10 ball? then we move to 11 ball?

FWIW hundal is an ass. If SVB made the argument for ten ball people would listen. Coming from hundal i feel like tellin em to shut up.
