Ralf Souquet is by far my favorite player, ever. This man has dominated everything in the new millenium. Lets face it...it's a lot harder to win a major tournament nowadays then it was when Archer and Earl were dominating. The calibre of players has risen and there are more players from around the world coming around to compete.

Ralf Souquet has been winning and owning everyone since the new millenium. I'm rooting for Ralf all the way. His demeanor at the table is 2nd to none and this guy wants to win more than anybody. Everytime I see Ralf play, it's almost perfect pool.

It's the best watching Ralf win a tournament sinking that last ball he always gets so pumped up and lets all his emotion out. If Ralf beats Donnie Mills, know one is going to touch him in the finals.

GO RALF!!!! :D

Earl would be heartbroken.

I would love to see Chris Bartram or Donnie Mills.
 
si its Ralf - Mills in the semis on the winners side and on the loosers ? They switched sides because Corteza played Kim after he lost to Ralf ? so he is in the semis, too right ? playing the winner of Mika - Rodney ?

Mika already beat Rodney. We're down to the final four.

B-Side = Mika VS Lee Van
A-Side = Ralf VS Mills

Ralf will beat Mika in the final 11 - 9

And both will be on Mosconi Cup Team of course ! :thumbup:

That's an awsome final 4. If Mika wins, he'll be only the second player to defend the title, and first to do it in 19 years. If Ralf wins he would be the first two time US Open winner outside of the US. Donnie would be an incredible Cinderella story. And Lee, well, he's just an awsome player so I wouldn't mind seeing him win.

My guess, Ralf wins the winner side. Donny goes to the loser side, and plays Mika. Beats Mika and returns to face Ralf. Ralf wins the final, 13 to 6.... Now, to be honest, any one of these players is liable to be in gear today, and play perfect pool. Get the right rolls at the right time, run right thru tis thing. Donny would not be the first player to win the Open, as an underdog.
 
You can take RS I'll take the field even money for the win, let me know if theres interest.
 
am i correct in assuming that the winner of the winners side semifinal does not have to be beaten twice in the finals?
 
The final is 1 straight race to 13. It's not a true double where the B side finalist has to beat the A side finalist twice. One set for all the cheese.
 
Donnie got 6th last year and 3rd guaranteed so far this year so it's quite clear to me, he is more than a rack mechanic as some have spewed. Go Donnie go!


But from day one i have been predicting the win by the greatest living pool player, bar none, Mr Ralf Souquet.

But, yeah, the line has to favor Ralf pretty strong. I'd say... taking Ralf vs the field, you'd get 4 on your 3.

From early yesterday I was getting a gut feeling for a

Ralph V Mika final

But I didnt want to post my thoughts here or on the UK forums
and fire up the two sets of home fans LOL

I myself was pulling for Boyes but Ralph's bee so solid
and Mika's on a mission to prove it can be done after a first game loss.

Great tourney whoever wins it.
