For those that may be interested, come out an watch Ralph compete at the World 14.1 in NYC @ Steinway starting tomorrow. Just go up and say Hi. He's very personable.

I'm a big Ralph Eckert fan. I admire his ability to make shooting pool fun. He is, indeed, a great teacher as well as a trick-shot expert and commentator! What a golden opportunity!

Check out his cool website: http://ralpheckert.com/index_eng.html

I'm usually a "USA, All the Way" kind of gal when it comes to rooting for pool players to win, but I make the exception when it comes to Ralph Eckert. I like his style. Yes, I'm a huge fan!

Agreed. He's not only a gentleman, a great player, but one of the best teachers on the planet.

First time he's in the states giving lessons and clinics.

With a little more notice, this would have been interesting to try to put together. Last year, I put together a 5 one day seminars with 6 people per day for Alex Lely at Red Shoes Billiards in Chitown and it went off without a hitch.Ralph would have been great for a similar one, but there is no time to put it together this year, as I am going to the World's this week and we are also doing a Varner clinic at the end of October. I'll talk with him out at Steinway. Maybe next year.

There were reasons why this wasn't pre-planned. Ralph is fastidious in his planning and presentation, and had this been his agenda before Friday- this would've been much different. He's just playing the cards he's been dealt. Turns out it's a great opportunity for those that play at all levels to learn from an amazing instructor.

I m sure everyone would benefit from workin with Ralph- anyway a class guy, Top Player, Entertainer ( :p ) - and a treasure of knowledge.

One of the are world class teachers AND players who know their stuff- and he can transfer it- i love his communication skills as well. For any part of the game- basics, or even if you go into a professional approach with the mental game.
Ralph is always a good choice.

He's not exactly a household name here, but I watched him on stream at the US Open - what a wonderful player. Once he got going, he was double tough.

Lol. In all these posts/replies/responses, I should've made it clear that Ralph is a German national. He is also the creator of the PAT billiard training system. There may be some PAT videos on YouTube. He goes way back with other German notables like Souquet and Hohmann, fwiw.

Not to mention, he's a 400+ ball runner.

Ralph had a booth at the SBE, where he was mic'd up and giving public instructional sessions. He has a calm demeanor and good delivery.
