Omega DPK

I sure like your cue. I too have an Omega / DPK and I really really like it.

Does anyone have a clue how many total were built and estimate of number of survivors?

Thanks,

Ken

Ken,

Roughly 700+ Omega/dpk's were built. Not sure how many among those survived, I'm assuming a good deal as Omega was in operation in the early 90's.

i had 5 omega/dpk's at one time. at the time there was said to be between 1000-1200 cues made. my best guess is that there were probably only around 750 made. how many have survived? thats anybodys guess. does this cue have the phenolic inserts in the shafts? dont think ive seen one with this ringwork that has the inserts. very nice cue. i have an unknown cue that is said to be made from omega/dpk parts. any number under the bumper?

Not all Omegas were number. One way to date an Omega without any markings is by pin shape. Early examples had flat pin tops. Mid production models had rounded or beveled pin heads. Late production models had rounded pin heads. Additionally, some early models did not have the trademark "lip". Most late models, after Mike Bender left for Alaska, don't have the lip either.
