lol I had an April Fools joke going on him some years ago on what could have been this exact cue.Paging Fatboy
yeah, them oldtimers with their sandpaper never more than a pocket away20-25 if it has a Barry provenance for sure, though you should have had the ferrule that went through a pencil sharpener replaced first
I dont know if my Gus Blank Searings will be as desirable, congratulations to the owner of this gorgeous cueThis might be the biggest ebony front Gus ever made. Some of the pics show 4 and 5 shafts but there are actually 6. The 2 that are closest to the butt are original and skinny. There is another old one with patina thought to be made by Gus later. That one is in the middle in the pics with 5 shafts. There are 2 newer shafts (maker not known) pictured farthest from butt and a sixth shaft (maker also not known) not pictured. Barry put a new leather wrap on and provided a receipt for that work back when that was done.
I haven't dome an in-depth inspection yet but the but rolls straight and the couple shafts I hit with also rolled straight.
This is obviously a very rare and fancy Gus and my friend who owns it is strongly considering selling it so I'm hoping to get a feel for what the market is like for such a cue. Hopefully the Gus experts can provide some clarity on it as well as confirming whether or not this indeed View attachment 604481View attachment 604483View attachment 604484View attachment 604485View attachment 604486is the biggest ebony front cue Gus ever made.

Gotta be well over 20kI would probably gamble 20K on this cue if I saw the provenance from Barry S. or Pete T. I know you Brian and I trust what you have to say about it.
