Rauenzahn Reaper - Nothing but the Basics

Well, except for the craftsmanship obviously.
No gem encrusted swords here. Damascus steel rather.
I wanted simple, yet pure elegance.
Not necessarily something new...but something that evokes a bygone era of devoted craftsmanship.
Jerry stepped up & took on the challenge.
I've seen him do wonders with full splice cues but not in this configuration.
Figured I'd spend my life seeking what I was looking for if I didn't jump on the opportunity having them made.
I also wanted something different. Something that would show off his skills of what can be done. He didn't disappoint.

It's easy to come up with a theoretical design, another altogether to actually execute it.
Thank you so much Jerry!

Those are truly outstanding cues, thank you for sharing

Why the snooker style cut in the butt end? It looks absolutely fantastic, gives the cues a special look, wonder what it feels like to play with one
I'd like to see pics of the shafts too if you could provide them

Craftsmanship at its best, no other way of putting it.

Skills required to build those are far from basic!

Nice collection. Thanks for sharing!

I remember my uncle had a Brunswick 26 1/2 he used, so I guess I'm partial. Picked one up that Jerry refurbed as well. It's funny how those childhood memories really can shape & mold a person into certain preferences.
Not to mention the "Reaper" is inspired by an actual cue that was made 100+ yrs ago. Prices have changed a little over the years :grin-square:

Jerry crafted me an Ebony spliced shaft for each, along with a standard.
Thank you for the kind words. Jerry is fantastic to deal with & a true master craftsman.

Only the reverse double butterfly was made by Rieper.

Hi, thanks. I believe it's a one off.
The cue in the center is a double eight point cue and has veneers on all sixteen points eight forward and eight pointing towards the rear.Has anyone ever seen this done before?

Pick

If you told me to pick one for myself I honestly don't know which one I would pick they are all outrageous . Great picture also having them by that case.

I looked at these before and was impressed. Just took another look and they are just fantastic. Throw out the CNC machines and inlays. A true master just let's the wood talk. These cues are screaming.

Each Cue Is Gorgeous......Love'Em All

Amazing workmanship by one of my favorite cue-makers.......not many others would attempt this.
The versatility of Jerry's designs & the encompassing workmanship is without question laudable.

BRAVO JERRY!

This is a SBE pick-up...

Awesome line up of Rauenzahn cues! I don't think I could pick a favorite one either.

Here's one I picked up in trade recently...and it really hits surprisely good..it's the first Rauenzahn I've had that wasn't a SS joint and I'm impressed!
