Ray Martin Sets the Record Straight

I second the idea that I probably owe Ray money from what I learned from 99 critical shots. Not only is that book still relevant but it's properly written for the intermediate to advanced player in a no-nonsense no BS style from the perspective of a World Champion.

$50 an hour for this man's time is tantamount to theft and is charity on Ray's part.

You got a big AMEN there!! :groucho:

Great book and I wish I were closer to him. I'd love to spend several hours at that rate and just absorb the energy.

I believe I'm beginning to see a theme here on this thread.

Mr. Martin, AzB has your back.

With your skill, expertise, and credentials, you are extremely generous to charge so little for lessons.

Thank you for your immense contribution to our sport.

Best,

Ray,
Great to see you on here. I remember my uncle and I coming to Clifton and then a few times to your room in NY you had for a short time. BTW my uncle was Paterson George...

All those good straight pool Jersey guys are gone or relocated... Jack, Tommy Ruocco, you etc...

I've been hearing for a long time now that my lessons are too expensive and that I do not teach all levels of players. To set the record straight - I charge $50 per hour in my home for any level of player. If I need to travel, costs change accordingly. This runs about the same as group lessons; however, you will have my undivided attention for an hour.

Im glad to see Ray hit the net and squash any potential rumor or BS story. I miss burning a cigar @ CM's Uncle Ray!!
