Ray Martin's Balabushka

Went to the pool room and played the cue for the first time today.

I've had a bunch of Balabushka cues, most were good, a couple were dogs and three played jam up.

I have been playing with one for the past several months (pictured below) and it has been my favorite until today.

This cue is sweet, Ray Martin had to run hundreds with it many times over.

If I have any complaint - the shafts are too thick 13.2mm - the Bushka I've been playing with are 12.7mm.

Maybe I should throw it in the lathe and sand the shafts down a few millimeters.

Let me ask you. I have pretty much that same cue. Is that a Spain blank? also, what is the realistic value of a cue like that today?

that design is nice, like a logo sort of. And the wrap looks tight. Normally the specks in a wrap seem to fall in an irregular pattern to make just random dots but these specks seem to almost line up. I like the subtle way the vertical lines above and below the emblem are broken up.

I think the one Ray won with in 1974 had a Brass joint and titleist points and some yellow stuff, but I am goingfrom memory

but these cues are very beautiful

Fat boy ,I have a special cue for you
call me,this will steal your heart
