Hey guys last week I finished a few more cues for customers so everything was caught up however I will not take new orders do repairs for the next 4-8 weeks. I broke my leg just below my knee cap in a motorcycle accident and will going through surgery soon. Any just wanted to let you know if I do not reply to PM's and email immediately I will as soon as I can.

I saved the Ultra Classic but broke my leg in process wife was on ck managed to save her and the bike price paid was break at the knee. Im just thankful my wife was not hurt. I managed to miss the car by lieraly a couple inches....Jim I will give you a call later if I can manage to stay awake with all the pain killers...
 
No problem Rodney, just glad to hear you guys are ok. Bikes are replaceable, you guys are not.

I know how you feel.. I just got my leg broke this past monday and put in an external fixator.. Here is some pics of my leg after sergery. rthe best part is I get to where this wonderful device for anywhere to 9 to 18 months. I will have some better pics after I can unwrap it for the first time this wednesday..


 
This is me as younger fella. I was lucky, the last accident I had only made my leg break in 4 places.

What bites is it will be tues before i can see the ortho surgeon. Id perfer surgery now so i can get on the road to recovery. I have an immobilation splint for now
 
How long has it been with the temp cast on. Thats pretty brutal. Usually as soon as the swelling recedes they'll give you an op and a permanent cast.
Have they even set the break yet?
 
hope you have a speedy recovery. my father had to dump a couple of his bikes when i was a kid due to some careless driver pulling out in front of him. hate it when people are so disrespectful to do that. best wishes.
 
Ouch, sorry to hear that. My Harley is up for sale now. I've had it for 4 years with no major mishaps and consider myself luckey. Fun, but not worth the risk with two kids under 3 now.

No way to set the break its the top of the Tibia They say it can be fixed but surgery is only way and its on the most weight bearing side

maybe it wont be to long before i am back in the shop having surgery thursday. plate and screws for break and ligament repair doc said can work in 2-3 weeks :)
 
That looks like a painful injury.
I hope the surgery works out for you.
It's amazing that you can even work at all.

Sounds like you will be back building cues in no time.
