re: custom ink pens

I saw a post here earlier of a cue maker that was selling custom ink pens using exotic woods and his post got booted off because some one posted that this website is for billiard products only. I have been inspired by many custom pen makers for some of my cue designs. i dont think he was out of line, its not like he was selling dolls or drapes ect. Heres a picture of a cue inspired by a custom ink pen i saw at a wood store while buying wood for cue biulding. As a rule i wouldnt let this post bug me so much but "benificia" is the most critisizing non pool playing person on a-z billiards.

Lol! non pool player is an understatement. i'm betting the 4 ball ghost would win if they played.

Hey Jim,
I do not belong to the forum police or have I been told by any of the admins here to police any comments. Having that said..
This is a WTS, WTT, WTB forum for pool/billiard related items only. I did not make the rules. Perhaps you do not know how to read very well since your spelling is not that good.
You should read the sticky that has been posted on this forum if you are not aware of the rules.
Perhaps you just had time to read the bold letters instead of all the posts that were done related to the thread.
I even placed an order for a pen w/Willie, so...
I can probably give you a long list of AZ'ers on here that made similar comments before when non-pool related items were posted on AZ for sale.
I do feel that we need some type of sub-forum for these type of items... Not like a craigslist type of deal but something that would give these somewhat related items some exposure. There are a lot of talented people here on AZ, not only cuemakers but pool players and billiard enthusiasts that have a lot of other hobbies.
I hope that the thread was not booted of the forum like you were from a pool hall Jim. Have a nice day.

The guy's a cue maker (willie cue that is). if he's selling something on here it's to help him keep making cues.

it's kind of funny to say "I did not make the rules." right after you tried to enforce them with willie

One of these days we will have a craigslist forum instead of billiard related items.
BTW, I am not the only one calling out these of issues Sam...

the guy's a cue maker and he was selling pens made from left over cue parts.

any dough he made would have been used to keep him able to make cues. he's not some mook that got an az account to unload the stuff in his garage. the fact that they were made out of cue parts should have been enough imo... Tony

If I recall my first post in the thread was photos of pens that I made to look like pool cues (woods, inlays and such).
Then questions were asked and the other photos were posted.
I thought they were somehow related to pool but I wont argue the point and have no issues with the thread being removed.
In fact after the one post asking about the topic, I sent a note to the moderators stating that if they felt the thread did not belong there to remove it.
They did and I am OK with that.
We all are here by priviledge not by right.
The rules are there to establish order and I am glad there is someone "riding herd" on the forum to see they are followed.

Piercecustmcues, I appreciate your support but want to let you know I am OK with the removal of the thread.

Anyhow, If you go to my pool cue web page you will find the photos of the pens I make along with the pool cues.

I feel rather bad because i was the one pushing Mr. Lee to sell these. Since i have bought them in the past and i found them on his website. I guess he thought if one az member liked his work others would too. I am sure that many of us appreciate them. Also, he uses the same skills and some of the same techniques as in his cue building. I for one support Mr. Lee in this endeavor.

I actually suggested Willie to send a message to the admins to create a sub-forum. I sent a message myself to one of the admins.
Like I said before, there is so much talent out there that needs to be exposed.

i'd like to hear what's up with that to?

I have nothing to hide therefore it goes...
Long time ago.
It is a black side of my life but I was able to start from scratch...
I had before one of the best wind toys store on the net and all was going good and I had cash flow between 3/4 a month...
Basically sent 15K worth of kite surfing equipment to a guy in the UK and the guy received the surfing equipment and FedEx never got a signature of package received.
Long story short the guy did a chargeback on my credit card account and I lost 15K worth of material, I had to file bk, lost a house and a lot of my pride since I had the best store on the net.
I really would not like to stir the pot.
Penguin seems to be hunting me down on this issue since the day I joined the forum and he does not stop...
I am a honest guy and have almost 300 ITraders on here with no negatives whatsoever, period.
All my personal friends and most of them on here know what happened to me. But everybody always has something that did not go that well on their lifes and this one was one of them.
I never, ever screwed anybody on here.
