Re Vamped My Whole Game In 3 Months

In less than 3 months I re worked my whole game after many years by using Mark Wilson's book. I tightened my bridge, loosened my grip a lot, changed to Mark's PSR (more or less), am keeping my eyes on the OB a lot more than I did and have a softer, smoother, and straighter stroke . After I had the loose grip down I had some problems getting too short or too long on position, but little by little that feel came around. I can't thank Mark enough for publishing his book. There is just something about the way he writes that I got right away. Now the rare times when I miss a ball I stand there in shock like I'm Mika LOL. JT

I have heard enough about the book that I want it too, however, due to circumstances I will have to wait until I can get a deal on a used one......hopefully that is soon, I am an old guy and there is not much time left!.

What are the Mark's advices to improve the game? Can you share them to us?

Without giving up specifics I can say that Mark's approach is to use orthodox technique and dedicated training. It's totally worth it to save up and buy a copy. You'll get endless use out of it. Don't know if you'll see too many used copies on the market. You could spend years working with it and find new things or helpful tidbits.

JT,

You win....you win....I purchased the book. You can now stop making a thread about it every day -- we get it you like the book.

Don't hate me.

I'm slowly working my way through the book and applying some the techniques suggested in his book to my own game and to some of the players that I instruct. There has been some new info that I've never heard of in all my years playing and other material that I have read. Many of his idea's just make sense after reading them. That's my plug for the book.

I have a question for those who have purchased the book. The very first page is a card that is attached to a page with Mark's signature and the edition number. Mine says 1 of 1,000. Just curious what everyone else's says?

I didn't get a card in mine. Sounds like you got the first book. JT

My copy says the same thing. I also wondered what it meant, and after thinking about it, I'm pretty sure the label was supposed to read, "One of 1000".

That makes sense. It doesn't really matter, I was just curious.

Thanks

Sounds like it's just a wording issue. Though, having the "first" copy would have been cool.

Mine say's the same. I'm assuming that it means that it's one of the first 1000 books printed.
