Just curious as the best source for dyed veneers. I am ready to pull the trigger on some for some ring billets and veneer rings. Not quite ready for points just yet.

All depends on what size slitting saw you are using, some veneers are different thinkness .

I think I am going to try to do them on my cnc. I some 1/4 - 1/8 - 1/16 and some .020 bits. Yours are looking pretty good. I hope I can get some to come out ok.
Has anyone had experience with koto wood veneers? Seems that sycamore and poplar are the go to. Just wondering.
Some other kinds of wood veneers look dead or painted. Dyed euro sycamore or maple veneers have some shimmer and depth to them.
