I am JP Nusbaums son. He passed away last week and we are trying to get some money together to help pay for his funeral.

Funny that you knew his cue.

3 posts no trader feedback and a 2200+ price tagged cue for sale. suspect is a huge understatement
So if he was selling a $50.00 bar beater, would that make him legit?:confused:Just because someones new and comes out of the gate with a big cue to sell, isn't fair to put up a red flag because the cue is priced high.Goodluck on your sale and nice cue:)

Sorry to say it, but somebody has to.

Sorry, but you are wrong!!! He wouldn't even be legit at $50, without some confirmation.
I think you missed some of the other questions posed to the OP:

1. 3 POSTS
2. NO I-TRADER
3. PICS ARE JP's (big clue to scams)
4. Then PRICE of CUE being a high-dollar cue(not knocking value)

I do not believe there was knocking of the price by the fellows that questioned the OP, calling this thread suspect. I think the fact that in the last 6 months here on AZB, there have been plenty of scam artists, and some of the community has been taken by them. Therefore, we are here to protect each other, and ask questions in order to protect OUR OWN!!!

Life isn't fair, and just because someone is new, does not entitle them to anything. RESPECT AND REP ARE EARNED!!!! The questions raised were fair and deserve responses, otherwise many will not even look at purchasing the cue. And isn't that the seller/OP's reason for posting it. Why not help the OP sell the cue, by allowing the person to understand that some questions need to be answered in order to make them LEGIT.

It is rough out there, and many thieves are around to make a quick buck on the unsuspecting. Luckily, we have a great community of posters who are out to watch each others' backs.

Sometimes a red flag needs to be raised, until answers are given to lower it. Just ask the handful of people around here who have been scammed over the last 6 months, and wish a RED FLAG was raised before they were taken.

BTW - Cue looks very nice, and good luck with your sale. And I wish your family well, JP was a great guy to deal with.

i didn't mean to a knock a sale, just offering you an avenue to explain why you were using someone elses's picutres and description. introduce yourself and explain things, and I'm sure everything will sell.

condolences
Andy

Sorry but I strongly disagree.I respect everybody until they give me a reason not to.Nobody has to do anything to earn my respect but through actions can be lost.People have to start somewhere and when people see this ,they can become very reluctant to do bussiness with this guy.I do agree with you that the few scammers of late have thrown a wrench into the situation but hopefully down the road trust won't be an issue with anybody on here. But I do respect your opinion, everyone deserves one. Thanks:)

the only reason I even questioned the sale was because I recognized the cue from JP's site, no other factors involved

Sorry guys. Didnt mean to start a s*** storm. Just trying to sell a cue. It sucks that some scumbags have ruined the fun for everyone else. I used the pics from Cues N Things just because it was easier than taking some of my own.

My Dad was a class act and I will treat any future client the same way that he did.

Thanks and I hope to find a new home for this beautiful piece of firewood.

That's good you were looking out for people,I guess I really like to trust people but sadly in this day and age could be my biggest flaw. Its good to see people look out for each other but I think some innocent people get the backlash of other people's wrongdoings.Hopefully he sells the cue to help pay for his losses.Takecare:)

If you're willing to use escrow for the prospective buyer, this would solve most issues.

Nice cue and good luck with the sale! And welcome to Az!

Cues N Things

Sorry to hear your father passed. He was well respected and appreciated in the pool world. I enjoyed browsing his site and checking out some of the beautiful cues he'd have posted. This is a loss to the pool community.

Best of luck with your sale. Bryan makes excellent cues and this is probably one of his nicest most elaborate cues to date.

GL with your sale!

Pics are down, but will be taking new ones.

In response to your issue with this being a scam, it is certainly not. PM me and I will give you all of my contact info for you to confirm.

As I said before, I will use escrow or any other method that will make the buyer comfortable.
