Here's a table I recently redid. The table had Artemis k66 and played extremely slow, 3 cushions at break speed. Before and After Picts

i don't get it ...someone was able to do subrail extensions but they didn't know what profile of cushion to put on? I am assuming the table played slow because the rail height was incorrect.

That's kind of what I was thinking. At least they made a good attempt, but it sucks to think what someone paid to have that work done incorrectly. Great looking fix Donny. Not like I need to ask, but how does it play? ;)

They keep Donny in business.
There's a lot of those here.
Looking at those leather cushion facings, I have a hunch who it is.

Another pool hall here could have had Diamond cut pockets had he hired Donny.
Instead the owner wanted to save some $50 per table to have his el cheapo mech cut random pockets.

It has been discussed here before, but there is a mechanic around that likes to put k66 rubber on the Gold Crown rails, mounted about an 1/8" low and sands the top of the rail flush with the rubber. I am not saying this was his work, but that is an option of what happened here.

i think they forgot to do the 1/8" low part...

The funny thing is Josh. If you go into a pool hall, in CA, and asked 100 people who the best mechanic is in this area, 90 of them would say that guy.

You just keep converting one table one client at a time and eventually the right answer will be the right answer.
Thanks for the rubber, facing and extensions.
Jeff is stoked.

btw, you need more clamps.
And btw, SD, what section do I go at HD for that pocket/slate liner ?
Drapery section ?

Josh,To answer your question, I like to test table at break speed from the head spot directly into the foot rail. This table has a strong bounce on the third rail and starts to die on the fourth and travels about 4 3/4 to 5 rails. Plays true to the Diamond system at medium speed and on the short rail banks still opens up on the 2nd bounce. I like the way my tool is cutting the bevel and I'm afraid to make any adjustments to it.

Joey, I didn't see you taking pictures in my shop, good thing the good stuff was put away. lol

I thought I seen that hot glue before.. I know its a southern cali thing. Nice work Donny keep it up.
