Hello Az, a customer recently brought in a so called KC Custom Cue for me to look at and review. He was under the impression that the cue was Custom made, and that it was made in the USA. I asked him where he got his information from and told me that the eBay seller had given him this information. Well folks, it just isn't true in any way, shape, or form, these cues are made in either China or Taiwan and anyone who has any experience with Asian made cues can tell very very quickly where the cue was made and that it is certainly not custom.

Here is a link to the ebay auction for anyone interested:

Now I am not saying that the cue is junk, but I do think people should know what they are buying. Just go to ebay and type in KC Custom Cue in the search feature, and a number of different cues will come up that are for sale by the same seller / importer of these cues. Then click on items for sale by seller, and you can see what these cues are actually selling for when some one makes an offer. Cue that were selling for $299 are selling by offer for $99.

This is just a heads up to potential buyers do some research before you buy, and always ask questions.

Good Luck

kc cue

can you comment on how they play. The ebay cues always say it hits like a 2000 dolalr cue. The one I just saw stated....

"I own a $3000 JOSSWEST cue so I am very familiar with the way it plays. This cue hits just like it if not better, solid and balanced with natural resonance.

Anyway this is really a nice hitting cue and the beautiful EBONY and Cocobolo wood throughout the butt piece make this cue a real collectors item."

In my opinion, at least the cues I have seen and shot with over years do not play like a $2000, in my opinion they play like a Players cue or similar cues with non-unloc joints. But some may find them wonderful hit is that subjective, but again these cues do not even come close to any high end cue I have played with by a custom maker.

Take care

I bought 4 for $150 a few years ago to have for guests to use at my house. Within weeks the shafts on all four had turned into bananas. All four feel like the forearm is hollow and the joint weighs 10 ounces. Ferrules not even close to flush with the shafts. Crappy finish and wrap. Even for < $40 each, it was a ripoff.

When I get a chance, I'll bandsaw one and post the pictures. Please tell me where you would like to see the cuts made for the construction "details". I assume at the joint, middle forearm, A-joint, handle to sleeve joint and near/through the buttcap.

Got a metal blade on your bandsaw? Right down the middle would be great!

I meant is my woodcutting blade ok to cut down the middle of the length of the cue like Rodney suggested?

Scott

I'm sure it would be fine, but I'm not sure what the condition of the blade would be after you cut with it.
