recovering a bar box

on the barbox you use spray glue or contact cement to fasten the cloth to the slate on the sides and ends just on the edges, its one piece slate , pull the slate up and out and place back in when dry.

Most bar table felts are glued down. Use 3m it works the best. Not sure what you mean by the sides?

Get two big pieces of PVC pipe, about 3" in diameter and about 4 feet long (longer than the width of your table) . With the help of a friend, lift the slate off the bed and then slide the pipe under the slate. Do so on each end. Then the slate will roll so you can put the cloth on & spray is down with 3M contact on the underneath portion of the slate. Having the slate raised up in this way makes it much easier. Make sure you get a high quality glue. Then you can cut out the pockets, and also glue the felt under the slate.

Correct. Lay the cloth out on the slate, Now, fold back about 12 inches of material on each side to get to the underside of the material. Place newspaper underneath the felt so overspray does not get on the top section of the cloth. Now spray the cloth with suggested spray adhesive. Now, starting at the first end sprayed, fold underneath the slate and press firmly. Now go to the side and repeat the process. Now do the opposite side, pulling the felt to a taut positon, (better with two people when first doing this). Then go to the end and repeat the process. On the corners, cut a V in the felt and tuck under the pockets. Now your done.
