Rumor has it that this SATURDAY at Red Shoes there is going to be some kind of "players jamboree". From what I hear, Jason Kirkwood, Dick Weaver, Black Oak Ron and Steve McKinish will be coming into the room to take on the local talent .

Jason is scheduled to play my protege, Jet Johnson, high stakes, full rack banks. Jet recently dispatched the great Truman Hogue at Red Shoes a few weeks back. Ed Gobbo is staking Jet.

Well, I left around 11 p.m. We'll have to wait and hear from the Beard on if anything happened or not. There was some haggling as to the bet and I'm not sure if it eventually went off or not.

A ton of players in the room, though. Beard can probably give you the names.

I've known Weaver for 35 years and Black Oak Ron since he was a teenager. Hope you post anything that happens.

Nothing happened. Jet's people wanted to play races to 5 or 6, and Jasons people would only play 5 ahead for the money. I was on the side of my protege, Jet and insisted they do some gambling and play races. I handicap the game as Jason being a 3 to 2 favorite, and an ahead match only insures his advantage. Races are much more of a gamble and induce much more pressure, and that would play into Jet's squeezing style.

the photo attachments are 1, Me, 2, Jeff Carter, 3, Piggy Banks.

Some action did occur. Chris Gentile shot holes in Mark Jarvis for about 1k. Chris ended up giving Mark 9 to 8 playing One pocket.
