I think the legal term is PUI (Posting Under the Influence):p

I haven't been at this that long, but long enough to know, if you don't take your time, you more than likely end up with crooked stick and an unhappy customer. plain and simple. I've had birdseye hanging for almost a year, with a cut every month or so, then connect to a handle, everything is fine. I then, after a few months of cutting it down more, put on a sealer, then 2 weeks later the whole thing warped. If I'd worked faster, I'd have a warped cue with my name on it, floating out there with an unhappy player. The waiting game isn't a game nor is it about hype, etc. it's about giving the customer the best you can, not the fastest, nor the cheapest just because thats what they asked for. If someone wants just a tool they can get right now, they buy a Ryobi, but if they want a real performer that will be consistant for years, and can do the job well, they save their money, and buy a Porter Cable, Dewalt, Milwallkee, etc.
If you have customers flipping your cues soon after purchase, then come back for more, on a regular basis, then you know your doing it all right, because that means you make a great cue that others like, and the person selling them believes in you enough to sell them to others. Just my .5 cents,
Dave

That's why you need a good inventory that's properly aged and ready to turn into cues !!! so you don't have to make the customer wait 6 months to a year +just to get a straight cue !

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not insulting your efforts but this is all about operating capital and being properly outfitted to deliver optimum results, no matter how hard or little you want to work, as long as you NEVER compromise the quality of your work EVER !!!!

FYI: I have had my cues floating around for yrs. that are absolutely perfectly straight to this day.... So yes It's all about the proper stablization and preparation of your inventory !!!

Sincerely, Eddie Wheat
