I would just like to applaud whomever it was, person or committee, that decided to elect CJ Wylie to captain this years mega-powerful Mosconi Cup team. I've been priviledged to travel extensively with CJ... Japan, the Yucatan, etc. Not only is he a great pool player, he is the most positive person I know. And, well he should be: Pool, tennis, martial arts, the piano...The S.O.B. plays everything solid. With CJ leading players like Johnny Archer and the three other American lions of the game, I feel sure this year the cup will be coming back to the land of Willie Mosconi. Stay safe and have fun, guys. Wish I were there to shark the Euros. Ha!

Yup, CJ Wiley is a rock solid choice and I know he'll do what it takes to prepare and rally the team. As you say, Team America is in good hands with CJ Wiley, and like you, I'll applaud those who chose him to be captain.

Hope CJ has some footage of prior yrs to help develop a game plan. He's good at matchmaking, it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out with his pics and their impact.
 
From what I know of Mr. CJ Wiley, which is his past playing days on television, his reputation as a 'money' player, & what I've learned regarding him here on AZB, I would agree that he is an extremely good choice.

I too congatulate those that made the choice as well as CJ for being chosen. Also I congatulate those on the team.

Being Captain is not always an easy chore. Many great golfers have not done quite as well as Captain of the Rider Cup as they did as players.

However, if CJ can convey his attitudes & get them to rub into the players, I have little doubt that the Mosconi Cup will return to the land its namesake.

Can CJ bench someone & play himself? I'm sure his competetive nature might make him want to do that should any of the players start to falter.

I gotta agree with Alf on this one. After reading The Other Side of The Road I followed that up with all the books he recommended in his book. Positive thinking produces positive results. THANKS Alf!
