Reno Action/Tourney Update

I haven't played in a lot of tournaments because my work schedule was so hectic for the last 5 years but I just have to say that the people running this Reno tournament sure seemed to be doing a fantastic job! I have been up there a few times over the years and they just really do a great job and you can see just how hard they work. Thanks Scott, Ford, EZ, Gene, the Collado girls and everyone else that worked so hard!!!!

Mike Davis lost his match yesterday afternoon so he's out of it. I'm not sure who he lost to or what the score was... sorry. The only update I have for now. Wish I was out there... should be a great display of skills out there today!

Can you put the scores of the match .or the play by play .like Shane ..
He did a great job with play by play .and i know you can do this for all the billiards fans on az that can't make torunments... Maybe you can get payed on the side for a good job..

If I were there and had a laptop I would love to do that! Unfortunately I'm sweating it here at home like the rest of us.

Bummer! I was hoping Mike was going to go all the way to the semi-finals or finals, but he did put on a good showing to cash and climb his way through the brackets after losing his first match.

Looks like the finals will be exciting, nonetheless! Thanks for the snippet for the hometown fans, Timberly!

No...no autograph sessions this time around..LOL. I was only being my slightly crazy self instead of full-out crazy! I had a morning match on Thursday....so I held it to a 2 drink limit...then off to bed. I promise to hold no more autograph sessions until you are around to take care of me...LOL!

You sure did Melissa, and I was dissapointed you weren't there the next night as promised so I could return the favour! We where going to drag you out with us to the fantastic El Dorado Bars. Maybe next time I can buy you that drink. I remember seeing you predator case because I have the same one except you ahd a rather fancy shoulder strap which made me jelous lol!

Anyway, well done in the tournament, I didn't see you play much as I spent the last 4 days partying too hard but your results speak for themselves.

It was nice meeting you, I will say hi to Dave etc for you

I did go down to the bar the next night to see if you guys were down there....but I think you must have left for the El Dorado bars early! I hit the bar around 7 pm....did a couple shots before going back upstairs to watch the winners side matches. But then I went down to the bar during the middle of those matches....and again afterwards. But you guys weren't down there...so it was boring!

Anyhow...have a great time in Sacramento...and I hope to see you again in Vegas next year! If you do come to Vegas, be sure to find me and I will take you over to the Predator booth and we can get you a fancy shoulder strap just like mine!!!

Mike don't sweat it, the majority of us here know that you do your best and that you can only work with what you're given. I've got a few contacts there and I can't hardly get anything out of them! I got a text today that said "Shawn lost". Ok, did he lose to just Manalo, or did he lose on the one loss side too... LOL, I was left wondering and figured there was no sense in posting that. Luckily the staff came through and got you the updates that I couldn't get out of anyone. Darn men, why can't the ones I know & have to rely upon be as detailed as me???

Thanks Mike, you did a great job on the brackets! It was great to be able to follow along. I do hope, however, that the finishers will be listed in column format-- At least the top 16 or so. Sometimes I have trouble figuring out who got 7th/8th, 13th/16th, etc.

Taiwan you mean? Well I'm having such a good time I can't bear the thought of going back to England and getting a proper job LOL!

I promised myself that if I won $2k in Vegas I would go to Taiwan, I won more than double that so I have to go now dont I!!!

I haven't booked my flights yet though but I got the qualifying info through in case anyone is interested. 5 days of comps, $400 entry for the lot. Winner of each comp gets entry to group stages and next best get put on reserve list on a points basis. If anyone is interested I have the pdf info.

There will be a couple of guys in Hong Kong who will be going thru the qualifiers.
