Returning warped shafts under warranty

Was wondering if anyone has had a cue under a lifetime warranty that you had returned to the manufacturer with a warped shaft and had it replaced or not with any success or troubles? Thanks

Last Meucci I bought in 90 lasted 3 days in a Porper hard case. Warped so badly I could hardly get it out of the case.
I was told it was my fault. Gave the butt to a kid. POS CUE and company.

A lot of lifetime warranties do not covered warped shafts. Joss will cover it only if you never chalk it and use it.

What company are you talking about?

I bought a new warp resistant Cuetec already straight from Taiwan that had a warped shaft, but Cuetec here in the states said it is not covered because I didn't buy it from an authorized dealer...LOL!

You always have to read the fine print. Most Cue companies will say...you have to be the original owner and buy off an authorized dealer, but there are some exceptions to this rule.

LOL...almost forgot this one----some companies will say the shaft may not be perfectly straight but does pass there quality check because of the standards they use. If it rolls out more than a quarter inch, then it might be warped. Some taper roll is always acceptable...LOL.

Russ Espiritu - would not replace shaft that warped after a year. My buddy bought another from him and it is still straight, same case, same enviorment and its 10 years old now. I say it was a bad shaft, Russ got scratched off my list after this happened. Im not saying he's a bad guy but he should have replaced it, JMHO

McDermott honors their warranty - they replaced a shaft for me about a year ago, no questions asked.

J Pechauer replaced a badly warped shaft for me and I was at least the second owner. No questions asked.

I had a problem with a Predator shaft and contacted them and it just so happened to be a week before a tournament in Vegas. The lady I talked to said take it to their booth and gave me a guys name to deal with. I went to the booth with the shaft and he gave me a brand new one and never batted an eye.

I'm an Authorized Dealer for just about every production company out there, and a lot of semi-production/custom to full custom makers also.. Just about every cue maker requires that you have had purchased the cue directly from them, or an Authorized Dealer for any and all warranty issues (which just makes sense). But USUALLY the more custom the cue brand is, the more they may replace or fix an issue you have, just to save face and earn a good reputation... Except for Meucci. They will do or say just about anything to place the blame anywhere but upon themselves.. And good luck getting your cue or shaft back in under 6 months from them..

Predator, Players, McDermott, and Viking have all been good about warranty issues

Never had to do one for Lucasi, but it would be the same as Predator..

Most places will however require you to pay for the shipping expenses...

Like another poster already stated, there is what is called "an acceptable amount of 'rollout' " that companies adhere to.. So unless your shaft has an actual full blown 'warp', with the tip or joint end actually lifting when rolled, and not just a little 'belly rollout", you might be disappointed when they send it back to you saying it isn't warped. I'm not exactly sure of what the actual acceptable measurable amount is, but I generally tell people that if the belly roll out is a credit card thickness or less, your most likely wasting your time, money (for shipping), and effort trying to send it back for replacement.. Your quite honestly better to just have a local cue repairman who knows how to, correct the roll out for you.. It shouldn't cost more than a few bucks to do so (I charge the same amount as a tip install to correct a shafts roll out)..

Good luck,
