Review of 2016 DCC equipment

When did Diamond have anything to do with designing Cyclop balls?

I believe it was either Diamond or CSI or both that worked with the company in China to develop the Cyclop ball set. I think Griffin was talking about it 2 or 3 years ago when they first came out. I may be wrong, but it was something like that.

Correction - All of the DCC events, 9-Ball Banks, 1 Pocket, 9-Ball and BigFoot Challenge were played with Cyclop balls. Cyclop has 2 color sets. And the new cue ball was officially rolled out at Derby.

As a side note, the George Fels Memorial Derby City Straight Pool Challenge was played with Aramith Tournament Balls and has been played with Aramith balls since its inception.

There were times in the past when a final or semi-final was played on the Accu-stats table and we were forced to switch to Cyclops. I was asked by a few players if we would have to switch to Cyclops for the finals.

Looked like Aramith *Duramith* tournament balls with a measles CB to me. Yes, always Aramith but not always been with that set.

If it was in China I wouldn't be surprised if John Barton was involved. He may rub some the wrong way but he always seems to improve something that didn't appear to need improvement.

I believe the Cyclop balls were a GS inspired project.

It's been the aramith tournament balls the last three or four years. Duramith. And they were delivered to me with the measles ball. I asked Ivan Lee to provide them as I thought they were better for straight pool based upon using them in league play up in Chicago.

Prior to that, we just used the balls provided at Derby which were Aramith Super Pro, I believe.
