Rhino Cues clicking sound

Has anyone purchased a Rhino Cue where there’s a very distinctive clicking sound when hitting the balls?
The cue is solid just an annoying clicking sound. Ed

I’ve found this clicking sound is usually due to improper prep/gluing of the tip. I know it’s a pain in the ass, but look when it’s time to change the tip. You may find a small area on the ferrule where there was no leather contact. If this isn’t the case, have a qualified cue repairman check it out. There are other things that can cause that sound.

No clicking on mine, replace tip with Kamui, on occasions, the shaft has a "high pitched" sound when hitting the CB

The ferrule could be loose or cracked (inside). I have fixed a bunch for that. I haven't seen the shaft yet, but I had someone call me last week because there is something loose inside the shaft.

I'm reading a lot issues with the rhino.
That’s because people are trying to play pool with something meant to be a tomato stake.
Haha. I had 4 total and 2 went back (with no issue re: warranty obligation) because foam had loose piece inside.

Also had a revo with same issue.

@Ed Keeney is the noise there when shaft uninstalled and you hit it with your hand? If so, try it holding shaft by only ferrule and then only the plastic plate around the joint to see if it is an end or something between the ends?

Agree that it could be the tip glue too...

why would any sane person buy products that get issues whether they fix them or not. it tells you about their quality control.

a good company would hit every cue before it went out the door to check it. they dont have to chalk it. if they don't it tells you something.

but having a garden to tomatoes is more ful filling than a shitty cue stick.

Both shafts I returned were fine for a bit and then a foam crumb came loose inside.

I was told they discovered the source of the flaw and corrected it and it was early on in the time they began to be sold.

No issues with the replacement shafts.

Oh...the above refers to the rhino shafts.

The predator revo that did the same was refunded with no feedback to me...but it shows even a premium product can have errors.

Weird though, I had maybe 6 carbon shafts go through my hands and 3 ended up with loose foam defects. I haven't heard others talk of the same and it seems like a nutty- high frequency.

if foam comes loose then it means its not packed in tight so that is a major defect as your position of the shaft will affect the shot.

premium price doesnt mean premium quality. sometimes its hard to tell.
