Richard Chudy makes his first Box Cue

RC3 agreed to make a retro design box cue. One where the boxes are coming out of the wrap rather than free floating. His single sided veneers are unmistakable.

For this project, he broke out the most beautiful dark amboyna and as always, the construction is impeccable. I couldn't be happier.

I paired the cue with a lizard Fellini.

Thanks for looking

Gian, love the amboyna....it looks great with those veneers into BEM. Definitely a new twist with old school colors. Enjoy !!

Thank you for the kind replies. It was my hope to echo the past while clearly saying RC3 with this design.

Mr. Chudy did a lot to accomodate my requests and as you noted, he chose a palette that worked well. It is definitely not a free flowing Chudy design but within the limitations of a simple box, he built something far outside the box.

The cue plays out of this world.

Awesome AND Unique!!!

Wow, great design. It never ceases to amaze me how Richard puts his twist on classic designs.

Great cue, and thanks for sharing!!!

Gian,

A really, really beautiful cue! Reminds me of a Joss box cue that (I believe) Mike Sigel played with decades ago. Only your choice of woods, the unmistakable Chudy veneers, the execution, etc make yours stunning, and a genuine treat to behold. What a wonderful additon to your world class box cue collection!

Thanks for sharing.

The bottom cue is a Stroud era Joss that inspired this RC3. I sure wish I had Sigel's box cue! Thanks for the kind words Will.
