I did this wide ring for a wrapless cue - I have gotten mixed reviews - what do you think?

that's not a joint ring, is it jack?

i see rings as enhancements that frame a cue design.....like a touche.

in that sense i think these rings don't work and the dots are too few(if you want them that small) to be of any consequence.

I am no expert on cues, but to me that design looks really tacky. Just my opinion however.

Ever see ...

a woman with engagement and wedding band on her finger
that was too wide. That's what I think of when I look at
this 'ring'. And I don't like the dots. Another type design
in the ring would have been better, IMO.

Jack,

Is it functional in form? Or does it serves as just decoration?

I'm on the fence, but leaning toward a "no" on this one.

I like the simplicity of the dots in the rings, but i think i would like them better if they were thinner. jmho

Think I got a picture of that

Look at 4th. Cue from the Right....

It has an awkward look of distinguishing characteristics. Kinda like a Saab. You just might set a new trend here.

Just my opinion and I am not a designer, I would add only darker colors to the butt with the points also darker so they almost blend together, but still distinguishable. Even make a butt with no points at all. This would draw attention to the ring. I really think you are on to something here.

I assume this is near the butt? Does the joint ring match? I reduced the image to get better perspective.
