So long Jeff

This is the saddest news I've heard in a long time. I've been friends with Jeff since 1974. And, his dad was a good friend of mine. I still play with one of his cues that I've had since1992. I think in the last few years he was spending more time covering tables than building cues... The Hicks family are some of the nicest, friendliest, down home people that you could ever know. I, along with all pool players in the Burlington, Iowa area will miss him every day. Time moves too fast...

I first met Jeff in 1999 when he covered my table for me. He was a really good guy.... warm, friendly and a skilled mechanic and cue maker. I'm deeply saddened by this news.

Any word on services?

I was Just Talking about Jeff and Wayne hicks this week...I was informed Jeff's health was not that good..a customer called me from Burlington IA and wanted his table recovered . Iasked him and to save him some money why he did not call Jeff to do it ...he is the one that told me about his health...once agian our deepest sympathy.

Zach- I remember how much you used to talk about him when we were in Germany. I've never met him, but feel like I have thru your compliments and stories. He's joining a class of cuemakers beyond!

My condolences and god bless!

Good guy

Jeff made a shaft for me many years ago, good shaft at a good price. A couple of times he fixed minor problems on a cue and wouldn't accept any cash. I was sad to read about his passing.

Jeff

Jeff was a good freind of mine and one of the best table men I knew. He made great cues and was a huge insperation to me when I first started Q making. I will dearly miss him and send my condolances to his family. RIP Jeff. Pat Diveney
