route 18 in New Brunswick area closed. Good luck trying to get to 14.1 championships today.
Tomorrow looking good. Tourney should a go for Monday.

Flash floods in the area. I think the parkway is still closed as well as the turnpike. The hotel is just off of route 18 along the river. Don't about 287 or route 1.

I called the hotel and they said if you come from 287 you should be ok. BUT... I have no idea if that's accurate or not. At some point today I'm hoping to give it a go.

Hope you make it and play well.

Would like to but at this point I don't know if I'll even be playing. Called the hotel and they said it's bad near there... Recommended calling the police dept to check on the roads.

Police laughed and said I'm not going to any pool tournament. The river hasn't even crested yet. There's apparently also a ban on driving in middlesex county right now.

Awful.

Parkway closed from 140 to 136. You don't really need to use the parkway. If you are taking the turnpike you just get off onto route 18. You are only about 5 minutes from the hotel by 18n.

If you are playing, good luck, Steve – hope you do well. Tell Barouty and Jon Smith we are pulling for them too.

You're not the only one Steve. I had to withdraw from the tournament due to all the airport closures, flight cancellations, and inability to find an open flight prior to tomorrow morning (coming from Phoenix).

Completely sucks.

If you do make it, best of luck to you.

14.1 and the bad weather

Ray (Big Cat) and all the others:

This is really a bad break with all of the terrible weather.
I know this event meant a lot to you and to the other players and supporters.

Even though I have problems with some of the promo tactics of the promoter, I still support all pool events and think this is a real bad break for Dragon and the 14.1 event.

Hopefully the event will not get seriously damaged by this turn of events.

We decided to give it a go tonight, and it was incredibly easy. So much misinformation out there from the official news sources.

Looks like the format will be the same, but once you're out of your bracket, it's single elimination race to 200. Eek.

Thanks Mark... appreciate the sentiments.

I hope all the players make it to the tournament safely.

NEW YORK (PIX11)— Port Authority officials announced that JFK, Newark Liberty, and La Guardia airports will be open Monday morning.

Incoming flights will be able to touch down at JFK and Newark Liberty starting at 6 a.m., with departures possible at noon.

La Guardia will be open for departures and arrivals at 7 a.m.

Travelers are being urged to contact their airlines for details on potential delays and cancellations. Public transportation to the airports will be unreliable; the MTA still doesn't have a timetable for restoring subway service.

Stewart International airport will also resume flights Monday, but travelers are urged to contact their individual carriers to determine the status of their flights.

Teterboro Airport was hit with flooding problems and Port Authority has not yet announced when flights will be cleared for departure and arrival.

Full PATH rail service in New York and New Jersey will resume at 4 a.m. Monday. The Port Authority's Hudson River crossings and Staten Island bridges already are in full operation, with E-ZPass and cash tolls being accepted. Customers are reminded to check www.panynj.gov for updated information about PATH and all other Port Authority facilities.
