Well, I don't know the Robb Saez that some of you all seem to know. The Robb Saez that I met in Charlotte in 2008 and hung out with was polite and courteous, willing to talk to any fans, super passionate about pool and very broken inside over the recent passing of his father.
I am awfully glad to see so many people coming out in support of Robb. For those of you who want to tell him how to live his life, get a job, work at McDonalds and other vile things please stop being assholes.
To paraphrase Fast Eddie Felson's girlfriend Sarah after Eddie explained to her what he feels when he is playing world class pool, "you're lucky Eddie, some men go their whole lives and never get to feel that way."
How can any of you understand what it's like?
John Schmidt came on here several years ago looking for a sponsor/backer for the US Open. You all didn't tell him to go get a job at McDonalds.
And what happened? He won the damn thing.
Why don't some of you just try being respectful and compassionate? THIS is exactly why more professional players do not come to AZ. Why should they when they get attacked?
Mike Howerton, Dave Wilson, are you reading this thread? Jerry Forsyth?
Anyway, welcome to AZ Robb! Good luck with your quest. Times are hard in the billiard industry right now but I am sure that if you put the rubber to the road and do some of the things we talked about in 2008 you will find some partners.
