$5000 donation to the St. Jude Children's Reseach Hospital Pro/AM Fundraiser at Skinny Bob.

WOW! That is just super. I also want to mention that this St. Jude Children's Hospital Fundraiser is the brainchild of Live Streamer, Ray Hansen of poolactiontv.com

Ray encourages pros to donate their time and money to this great charity. It seems like the professional players are stepping up to the plate.

Maybe Ray can give an update as to the players who have been a part of these efforts?

I was fortunate enough to be a part of this and look forward to trying to defend next year. I bought C.J. wiley in the auction and we won.

Big props to Ray for organizing this and to the pros that donated their time.

And YES, the 5k donation By Robb Saez and his sponser at the end of the evening was icing on the cake.

Someone told me that he's not allowed to gamble because of the sponsor.

This is what someone told me....

As I mentioned in an earlier post, this is exactly the kind of thing the billiards industry needs to do to get more publicity for the game and make it more popular.

While raising money for charity is nice, the equal purpose is to popularize the game. Have two world champions with interesting back stories - like Dennis Orcullo, son of a fisherman and Shane Van Boening, born deaf/mute) - so the reporters can write their story from many angles (overcoming adversity is their favorite theme...witness all the Olympics human interest stories...they weren't about the athletes training regimes).

Hat's off to Raez and crew for doing this. I hope it leads to more.

Robb Saez sponsor

Ok - I have not been paying attention.

Who is Robb's sponsor?

I would think a sponsor would like recognition for being a sponsor.

It has always been a peeve of mine that the sponsors of events NEVER seem to get mentioned in the articles about the events.

So - who is the sponsor? (assuming it is a company and not an individual).

Im betting it's an indivdual. JoeyA wouldn't foget to mention a company unless its The Mob Inc. Johnnyt

Robb Saez donated 5000???

WOW! Round of applause! He's a changed man!

He STILL owes me 50 bucks and I've been back to Taiwan since 2000 that son of a gun!

I wish he NEVER win a tournament....

Hey Win,

Why don't you just forgive the debt? You would feel better and be a better man for it.

If you just can't give it up, then contact the man and ask him for it. Private matters should stay private. Just my opinion. of course.
