That's actually one of HIS scams. He'll buy a cue, then make it appear as if the box arrived empty...then he does a chargeback on your PayPal...and tries to file an insurance claim with the USPS.

What a bum. I thought that's how some guys scam on ebay: they sell you an item and then send you an empty box with tracking to show paypal that they actually sent you the item.
Additionally, how can he file the insurance claim with USPS? If he says the box came back empty, doesn't the receipt holder for the shipment have claim to the insurance?

That's how it's supposed to work at the USPS...but I know that my ex got refunded pretty immediately at the station when he received some broken bowls in a set of dishes he got from eBay. It was a long time ago now, but it did happen.
Well usually before they get banned, the mod usually checks there IP address and I that usually tells the whole story

I have had stuff lost with the USPS a few times. One was a tube with 2 cues in it that did indeed show up empty. The other was a cue sent to me that never made it. I'm not sure how someone could send an empty tube because the post office weighs them. I mean an empty tube don't weigh anything, surely when a claim is filed they take into account the original weight upon shipping.
So the OP is trying to protect the interests of his fellow az members from a known scam artist. Generally, if a person is wrongly accused, they will post in an attempt to defend themselves. That has not happened here.
Out of curiosity RSmith43, how do you benefit by defending a scam artist? If you want to see rock solid proof that it is him, can you give us rock solid proof that it's not?
Thanks to the OP for making us aware of this scumbag. These are they same type of low life's that rip off social security checks from senior citizens. He'll get what's coming to him in the end
rsmith43 you have all this time to respond and defend someone you supposedly dont know but you dont respond to someone offering to buy a very expensive item you have in the for sale section. Maybe its because they wanted to pick it up instead of having you ship it. You do live in the same state as the scam artist, maybe you know him?
Perhaps a little 'homework' is in order. You can go to the 'Beware Jeff Forney!" thread for all of the alias used, and so a search. Make a day of it, because it will likely take you that long to get through it all.

Why blindly defend someone that you have no connection with?
Nothing to do now but to do what you can to gain some much needed respect on this forum.
If you don't, you are highly likely to be on "ignore" by most any buyers/sellers here.
