robin dreyer the best instructor in the USA

Because I was moving my hand to the right when I shot ;)

Could not fix it after a long time trying so I said, hell with it, I'll just aim more left.

That's like putting on a Band aid where you need stitches. But, I'm not a pool teacher...

What happened to the 'save svb coz his break broke' thread?

Dreyer has been on azb radar since 2008, btw.

I don't know what happened to that thread. I've asked Mr. Wilson about it and he said he did not remove it. ???

For sure the best instructor. Everyone on here should find a way to get over to his place for lessons. Get in touch with him and see about lessons and clinics.

He will make you better. Usually much better. He'll find your problems and start working on ways to correct them within minutes. Pool genius, plain and simple.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was removed at the request of Mr. Dreyer. I am astonished that anyone would lay a claim like that on anyone.

It would be correct to say Robin would never post a claim like that but I know he would love to work with SVB and has said as much. I think Robin could help make anyone better and that includes the very best in the world. There is always room for improvement or do you believe they've achieved perfection?

If he's so great, he should build his own champion, instead of trying to slap his name on a finished masterpiece.

I can tell you know nothing about champions and their sports. It never hurts to have a different pair of eyes watching the action, especially someone that has been at all levels of the game and taught for 30 years. I don't know if pool pros do this but pro golfers do it all the time. They are always interviewing and trying out different coaches to see if they like what the new guy observed and their opinions on how to get even better.

After he's done tinkering with Shane's break, book him a flight to the Louvre to put the finishing touches on the Mona Lisa.

IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR GAME GIVE ROBIN A CALL
i have never hit the ball cleaner than i am now...

There is no such thing as the best cue sport instructor. The best players in the world can play well, but may not be able to teach or instruct. There are too many variables in the mechanics as well as how set up a pattern for position. BUT, a good instructor will have patience, knowledge, experience, and ability to play as an A level or higher. I could teach anybody to become a good A or A+ player in a years time, but I don't need to be certified to prove it. Just my 2 cents.

No, sorry, you could not teach anyone to be an A player in a years time. Everyone just assumes if you practice you become an automatic shortstop. Sorry, just not true in any sport. Unless pool is that "easy" that anyone can do it. I don't think it is. Granted, it's not as difficult as the top athletic endeavors, but there is a reason why the local shortstop will NEVER beat Earl in a race to 20, ever. I don't care how much he practices. There is a reason only a small percentage of HS baseball players will play at a DIV 1 level. and they all practice the same amount of time, yet they all can't play in the BIG 10 or the SEC. Weird ?

I think it has to do with luck as much as anything. Not luck in actual playing but luck in how you learn, from who you learn and being able to find a perfect mesh of eyes, hand, stance, right shaft, right cue, right table, right teacher to be able to line things up properly to get to the highest level. At the beginning I mean, it's like being on a track from the start, till you hit your peak instead of getting into a half broken car trying to drive though Boston roads.

We always wonder if the best at anything are really the best ANYONE can be at it. What if there is some kid who just never shot a basketball but has inside the potential to beat Jordan and LeBron at the game if he started to play? Need some luck to go along with dedication and mental toughness to be a top at anything I think.
