Yes I agree. Both dogged shots but in the end Rodney played good enough to win.
Rodney's high gear is amazing and Edgie plays just a touch below but it would not take much to reverse this score. Rematch will be in their future.

Damn, I just missed it! Had to work and then thought of it
a tad bit too late. Wish they'd play another one. If someone
beat me 19-12, I'm not done...they can get more of my money
to prove they're better or perhaps adjust a little bit.

Vilmos lost. I think 18-15 ish type score. Real spotty game by both. I think the table got to both of them and some balls the just flat out missed with a lot of blown shape play thrown in for variety.

I watched basically the whole thing since I had a bet on the match, neither player looked comfortable and of course made errors but the score could have easily been reversed. It's a close game if both players play or both players dog it, just matters on who brings their game that day.
Now put Alex, Shane or Dennis (or Ko Pin Yi for that matter) on the same table and watch what happens. There is a noticeable difference when you get to the top level of Pool.
It would be ugly and not easy to watch, some great pool would be played for sure but on the flip side of the coin there would also be some ugliness. As one who dogs it from time to time having the match being streamed is like one step below having a very bad dream ha ha.
I have no idea what you were watching? Rodney missed 3 balls in a race to 19 and ran out from everywhere.. I've seen 100s of matches and as far as I'm concerned that was world class pool at its finest. Rodney made that tight difficult equipment look like a bar box at times. That was an awesome set of pool..
I missed probably 3-4 games of the match and while I can't recall all of the balls missed besides the 9-ball in the side with natural position on the 10-ball it was far from a clean set. It could have went either way and now that I'm thinking about it they went back and forth a couple of times missing on the 8/9-balls just after the midway point of the match.
Trust me I'm a huge Rocket fan and we share home states and birthdays, we've spent many nights drinking and having fun together and have done savers in large tournaments together. He's running on very low sleep and the tremendous pressure of a newborn baby, Rodney has a HUGE gear that he didn't come close to tapping into on this occasion though.

I'm going to have to watch it again. I'm sure Rodney has another gear which is just scary
.... I was really impressed with his play on that equipment and can't wait to see the rematch!!
They definitely made the pocket size seem like it wasn't an issue at all, can't recall balls rattling and hanging which is absolutely amazing for how tiny the pockets were.

I think your correct on pocket size. I got home late and the score was 12-9. That's when I saw both player dog a few shots. Rodney shoots difficult shots with very little thought and almost always rolls into perfect shape. I have seen this table humble some of the best in the world and the few that I saw the Rocket miss did not rattle.
